Awful management

They also had the parcel room broken into (Tenant)

Jul 2024

Building is 5 years old and they don't address the broken bits like the lift bell or bathroom moulds from the sewage. Reports are made, they send the contractor to the basics and if they can't fix, silent until you chase, or simply even then ignore for weeks. Still waiting on what the status will be with the broken intercom as well as the lift bell that was broken from when moved in, which is 9 months now.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is pretty good with Piccadilly station being about 10 mins walk. Resident lounge is open from 7 am to 11 pm.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The radio silence by them is ridiculous, and you get tired from the upfront attitude of doing the least they can.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How unbothered the management is with faults and changes they make are one directional. They decide on what is emergency entry - door key not working properly took them days to get someone but once someone was there they thought it was an emergency from that point to not give notice. If it was an emergency, they should have brought the contractor within 24 hours? Hypocrisy.

Friendly and Cosy Building

Joe S (Tenant)

Dec 2023

The building is very friendly and it gives a homely feeling. The members of staff are always around and they are keen to help and interact with us. The parcels and deliveries get taken in by the day staff and later distributed to residents. There is a resident lounge area where events generally take place which during the day is used as a co-working space.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is the best part about living in the city centre. Gyms, shops, lifestyle everything is very close by

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The answer is generally quick and there is always a follow up or a resolution.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The area is very popular and there are many means of transportation around.

Recommend the building

Amazing services and great concierge service, very clean and I feel safe living there. Put on a brunch occasionally which is a nice touch and social to meet others in the building. I have recommended the building and a few of my friends have moved in since visiting me living there and they love it

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to shops and bars which is good but noise from road and surrounding building work isn’t good but that can’t be helped

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Attentively and respond quickly to fix the problem

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That Manchester has a lot of building works and new flats appearing everywhere

Nice modern building and design.

Nice modern building and design. Pretty typical for a build to let development. Nice rooftop garden and communal area with occasional get togethers organised. Staff are friendly and approachable. Issues with bike theft and hot water recently though which are concerning.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Near the Northern Quarter and Ancoats, handy for everywhere. Good triple glazing which minimises street noise.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Pretty quick response when needed, on site staff mean that it's easy to report issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Hot water isn't hot enough, ongoing issue with this.

The Astley - modern city centre living

Oliver Hook (Tenant)

Verified Resident

Mar 2023

The design of the Astley is modern and eye catching and gives me a sense of pride whenever I am describing where I live to other people and showing people round for the first time. The facilities are excellent with a rooftop terrace and a residents lounge for relaxation and socialisation activities. The property management staff are excellent and will assist to deal with any enquiries you may have.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Astley is in a prime location for transport with the city centre and train stations close by! There have been issues with anti-social behaviour but these issues have been managed appropriately by the staff and I as a resident feel confident living in this establishment

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes - whenever issues are reported these are dealt with by the management staff as quickly as possible

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There needs to be more information on the facilities and how these are not pet friendly despite the building allowing pets
