Very Poor Workmanship - Building Defects

Flat is nice but overall build quality of the block is poor. We have a major roof leak which the developer - Crest Nicholson has tried to wash their hands of. We have had no joy with NHBC either. The structure of the building has moved and we have had to fix fire doors which would not close in the frame. The road to the back of the building is too high so trucks routinely scrape the underside of the balcony of one of the flats.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have a flat in a block in Stockwell, London which we purchased 8 years ago (2013). We have since had no end of problems with the building which we have had a nightmare struggle with Crest and NHBC to fix. Some of the workmanship is unbelievably poor. I for one would never ever buy another Crest Nicholson property - beware.

I believe the NHBC guarantee you get on new buildings is not worth the paper it is written on.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

If I had know what I do now about house builders and NHBC I would never have bought it.
