Arsenal Football club

Holloway’s Emirates Stadium

The Holloway area is the official home of Arsenal Football Club – the Emirates Stadium seats more than 60,000 people. Along with matches, it also runs behind-the-scenes tours for visitors.

Arsenal fans couldn’t be closer to the action at Ashburton Gate, a striking Galliard Homes property right next to the stadium. This development is arguably one of the best places to live in Holloway, with contemporary apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows, onsite parking and well-manicured grounds.

Apartments well sound proofed even when living next to the Emirates stadium!” – Mike B, verified resident at Ashburton Gate

Queensland Terrace is another option close by. This Barratt Homes new-build is opposite the stadium is close to tube and Overground services. In addition to this, it offers a beautiful selection of luxury penthouses, all of which come with an outdoor terrace.

Lovely apartment with a great concierge team that look after everything.” – Maggieo, verified resident at Queensland Terrace

Holloway properties

New-build apartments in Holloway are now just as easy to come across as the Victorian family homes the area is known for. Along with the aforementioned developments close to the stadium, there’s The Drapery, a sought-after building between Axminster Road and Seven Sisters Road. And there’s also, Tiltman Place, a Grainger property built on the site of the old Hornsey Road swimming baths. These developments are rated some of the best places to live in Holloway.

I’ve lived here for 6 years. Everyone I meet is very friendly. The building seems pretty quiet – although people have parties the sound doesn’t travel too much. The views are great the higher the floor, especially if you are an Arsenal fan!” – resident at The Drapery

Nothing I dislike. The design of the building is faultless. I like the area, it is well connected transport wise. Great shops, pubs restaurants etc all very nearby. I am very happy here and would recommend!” – resident at Tiltman Place

Highbury Square is another popular choice for football fans. This Frasers Property development was the home of Arsenal FC until the club moved to the Emirates stadium in 2006. Interestingly, the development has retained its Art Deco character courtesy of its original East and West stands.

“I like living here. It’s clean and new with lots of services. It’s close to the station. Been living here a long time, quite secure. Very quiet. Historical gardens.” – resident at Highbury Square

The flats are good, I like square flats. The flats are quiet even though like a lot of people live here. It’s warm all year round, good for winter could be bad for summer. The gardens are great. Easy access to trains, service charge is steep but good value.” – resident at Highbury Square

The Perfect Place to Settle for New Londoners

Archway is a great place to live, especially if you’re new to the city! Right downstairs you have at LEAST 4-6 grocery stores within a 1-2 minute walk, plenty of cafes and restaurants, and access to the Northern line and a plethora of buses to get wherever you need to go! Sometimes the plaze can be a little noisy and rowdy on occasion, but the windows on the building shut out all the noise.

Please review your development:

Vantage Point has been the PERFECT place to live, as a newcomer to the country. With many amenties and furnishings included, I was able to settle into normal life fairly quickly without much hassle. Members of the staff, like Felix, are so kind and welcoming and are eager to get any issues you may have resolved quickly. Additionally, the building has INSANE views and plenty of events to give you opportunities to meet your neighbors and mingle. I honestly struggle to think of anything to complain about, but if there’s ONE thing the trash chute is always blocked, but I suspect this could be a problem in many buildings like this one.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be prepared to get creative with your plan for storage and wait for the elevator to the basement to take the trash out. But you really will love living here!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

After submitting any maintenance request in the online portal, I usually get service within 1-2 days. And for any other needs, the residents team is quite responsive via email.

Location vs Value

Good:
Location, location, location!
Everything you need is just downstairs – lots of supermarkets and shops of all kind. No need to travel for your shopping.

Bad:
Located on the main junction and also near the Whittington hospital, so lots of dust and noise, especially from ambulances, is coming into the flat.

Please review your development:

Good:
1. Reception manned 24/7 and nice helpful staff.
2. Lovely public areas which has just been redecorated.

Bad:
1. Pricy:
Since management changed, they keep bumping up the rent rediculously. Feels totally unfair.
2. Maximum of 2 bedroom flats only.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’m the oldest tenant in the building, already living here for about 8 years.
No regrets, apart from the disappointment of the way they bump up the prices.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance is good. All of our requests have been attended.

Great location, responsive management

Great location, right by the tube. M&S, sainsbury and co-op few steps away.
Hamstead heath is only 20 minutes walking distance which makes for a great walks on the weekend

Please review your development:

Very comfortable development in good location and very responsive management.
Only downside is that appliances are on the cheap side. Washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, ventilation system all broke down and needed fixing within the first month of my moving in. Range hood is barely functional. Worth noting that management is super responsive and fixed most issues promptly, but would have been nicer if the appliances were of better quality.
Upside: good heating system and even got an air conditioner for cooling.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Relatively cheap appliances, weird MVHR system means range hood is almost non-existent.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, had many issues with appliances and most were resolved within a reasonable time.

A great way to live in North London, just 15 minutes from the centre.

Vantage Point has as one of its main perk the fact that it is literally standing on top of Archway tube station. The neighboorhood offers a wide range of groceries shops, a couple pubs and all services you may need (barber, laundry etc..).

Please review your development:

I personally love living in Vantage Point, being among the residents who make the most intense use of common areas and facilities of the building. Many spaces from which to decide where to work from, a good gym and a games room that allows you to have some great time when friends are visiting.
The freshly renewed furnitures are great and feels like an improvement, even if not drastic, from the previous ones that were already nice.
The few times I needed something to be fixed it was dealt with quite quickly and a big thank needs to go to Felix who is just amazing in providing help.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

When I moved in, the only thing I haven’t planned was the absence of pillows, but surely someone more prepared would have thought about it.
There is a parking space for bicycles and cars, but a motorbike will be treated as a car, same price and same random spaces, with no possibility to lock it to something.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Luckily, I only had few issues with the flat; but any time I needed something the residents-team has been available and helpful.
