Lovely place to live.

The design of the development is beautifully done. Most people think new builds are all squashed together with no space or green areas to walk the dogs or if you have little ones, there is a lovely area for kids to play tucked away without ruining the layout of the houses.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I would of given 5 stars for everything but it is disappointing that the developers didn't think of adding extra amenities like a shop on the development. Newington is a tiny village with hardly any amenities and you definitely need a car to get your main shopping etc

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I dealt with a lovely lady called Jill. She was the on site manager when I moved in and she was always there to help with any issues I had and it was dealt with swiftly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only wish I have is, I wish I had better neighbours. I live next to people to aren't very friendly.

We love our house, the location is lovely

We love our house, the location is lovely. We feel that the property maintenance is quite rubbish, the area is rarely mowed and we pay quite a lot for upkeep that doesn’t happen very often. We haven’t had any issues raised needing to go back to the developer and overall we are very happy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is really nice. The park on the development was hoping would be more as promised in the plans but is ok. Parking is fine, don’t have any antisocial behaviour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t raised any problems with the building management

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish we had been told more about the process of help to buy

Good and Bad points. Equal.

Good points: 1. Clean 2. Its has green spaces 3. Has a historic Roman temple 4. Small development and more exclusive 5. Good access roads Not so good points: 1. Not good street lighting and very dark at night. 2. Some trees are dead. 3. No choice of internet provider. Only Fibrenest. 4. Flooding on some roads especially during rainy days. 5. Narrow entrance road.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

To start, good points: The area is semi exclusive as newington is a small village. The area has good walks around. The area is clean and has greens. Not so good points: The high street is almost non existent. Does not have many options for shops and restaurants. No other GP in village.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management is quick to respond to any issues. No complaints so far.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I would have known that Fibrenest has monopoly of the site. I think its utterly rubbish that we dont get a choice.

An overall good development

Lovely location with plenty of options for rural walks. Garden is of good size, however the builder should have made an effort to level the gardens before rushing to hand over the keys to owners - some have absurd inclines/ declines. Property management company requested an early payment of the estate fee despite the lack of green areas and facilities to maintain.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very close proximity to the train station, lovely rural location with plenty of public footpaths to explore. Parking can be a bit of a free for all.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management went above and beyond to resolve any problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No street lighting which is a massive oversight.

It’s a lovely place now building works have come to a near finish, could do with lighting round estate as many family’s on the estate and in winter is absolutely pitch black by 5pm with no street lighting it’s not nice to walk early morning or early evening with the dog.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Area is absolutely perfect a lovely little village with lots of countryside near

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really as all seemed to be as we expected.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

The gloss goes yellow after about 3 months really awful cheap stuff they’ve used and well lots of hidden rubbish behind walls in loft and under baths anywhere the builders can hide to cut corners to put in a skip
