In all honesty, not a very nice place to live. Flats are extremely hot during the summer and freezing cold in the winter, for a new build development this is unheard of. On site management do not help with what on the face of it are easily resolved problems. The atmosphere on the development is very bleak, which is not aided by the big brother feel of management being on site. The building itself is nice to look at, however the build quality is very poor. The fire alarm regularly goes off which requires a full building evacuation, shower steam appearing to be the most common cause of the same. It would be no exaggeration to say it’s been off at least 10 times since March. The only benefit that I can think of living on the development is the agreement to pets being allowed which is why I chose to live here, had I done greater research, I don’t believe that I would have.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bus stop right outside property, 10 min driver to nearest supermarket and to Wokingham high street, parking is allocated bays but constantly find vehicles parked in your bay, regularly loud shouting in the evenings as kids ride up and down the road on bikes, bin collections every Thursday which can’t be faulted. A good way to sum up the development is that it is effectively on a building site.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been very obstructive since I have lived here, they constantly make things difficult and do not assist unless chased.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would rather have known about the general liveability of the flat, or lack of it.

Flat is great, it’s one of the biggest flats I have seen Area is quite, there’s a school near by Surgery is great. It’s clean I’d give it 5 stars I like everything about the place, there’s enough greenery Neighbors are good, haven’t interacted but not noisy

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Everything is good except for basic facilities like grocery shop. The closest one is 20 min walk and that to through very dark, woody area

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Every problem was taken care by the management in timely manner

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I don’t think I didn’t know anything before I moved in the area It’s pretty much what was told

We really love and admire the gorgeous design of the house and the facilities provided specially the bedroom and bathroom We are concerned about the gym when it would be opened in our area so that we can have an access to it and looking forwards to it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have a lot of convenience here because of which we are happy to live in this place like the easy access to bus stop just near us and a very silent neighbourhood that we appreciate here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The service provider had approached us on the same day our query was raised and all our questions were solved instantly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Should have paid close attention to the electricity savers before using any electric gadget on order to save the cost.

The development is a nice place, it does feel very rent-y as there are similar properties in the area that have been bought/sold and they are to a nicer standard. There are also a lot of buildings going up in the immediate vicinity which has put me off slightly as the green spaces were nice to have in the area. The property management is really good, they are always reachable by email and respond promptly to any queries. Parking can be a little inconvenient at times as sometimes people park randomly in bays that aren't theirs but the property management people are good at resolving this. The Clubhouse opposite has been in development for a long time which is a bit disappointing as it would be a good space.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is very lovely in Arborfield, and it is relatively close to Reading, so good for shopping, trains, transport, etc. It is also slightly outside the town, so there is a lot of greenery and countryside which is really lovely. The only place in walking distance is Jackson's at California Country Lake and the Co-Op which is a bit disappointing as it would be good to have some other places within walking distance, eg pubs, etc. The open spaces are lovely. There is a bus stop right outside the development which goes to Reading station which is also very convenient.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven't raised any issues or problems. When asking for meter readings, etc. the responses are always prompt, polite, etc. and the property management team are nice to deal with.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise of those around. As the properties, in my view, are built to a slightly lower standard than those for sale, as they are to rent, the soundproofing between floors/ceilings I don't believe is to the highest quality and as a result I can hear a lot of my upstairs neighbours which I didn't think I would when I moved.

The 1-bedroom flat in Millard Place impresses with its modern design and cleanliness. The contemporary aesthetic adds a stylish touch, creating a comfortable living space. The great location is a standout feature, providing convenient access to amenities and possibly offering a vibrant neighborhood experience. Overall, a well-maintained and contemporary living space in a prime location.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Certainly! The good aspects of my local area include a strong sense of community, access to diverse cultural events, and proximity to parks and recreational areas. However, traffic congestion can be a downside, and the cost of living is relatively high. Overall, it's a balance of positives and negatives.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

N/A. No issues have been raised and I have no complaints

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

What the local shops were and how far. But otherwise it’s great
