New flats in Ealing

Well-connected Ealing

Ealing is in the heart of West London. Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, North Ealing and South Ealing are all underground stations giving residents access to Central, District and Piccadilly lines. And Overground trains from Ealing Broadway and West Ealing whisk commuters to Paddington in less than 15 minutes.

The road links are appealing, too. The M25 is a 40-minute drive away and Heathrow Airport is even closer. As for the bus network, it’s regular and reliable, with routes terminating at Kingston and Golders Green.

Living in Ealing

It may brag peaceful green spaces, but it also offers plenty in the way of hustle and bustle, as well. For starters, it’s got an impressive music scene, with an abundance of pubs regularly hosting live bands. Plus a good selection of wine bars and coffee shops that could give East London a run for its money. And when it comes to eating out, you’ve got the world on your plate here. Move away from the chain favourites in central Ealing, and you’ll find quirky independents dishing up everything from Iranian to Italian cuisine.

New flats in Ealing

A sense of community

Ealing’s most loveable attribute is its infectious community spirit. Newcomers have plenty to do, such as exhibitions, amateur theatre groups and an annual summer festival. There’s also a real ‘shop local’ mantra, so lots of long-established, family-run businesses remain, selling the likes of fresh flowers and fruit and veg. Alternatively, high street names like Boots and Argos are in good supply at the Broadway shopping centre.

Ealing Studios

Ealing Studios, the world’s oldest working film production site, can be found overlooking Ealing Green. The studios have set the tone for the area’s love of the arts since 1902, and provided a backdrop for cinematic and TV greats like Notting Hill, St Trinian’s and Downton Abbey.

The residents

Ealing’s occupants vary just like its homes do. The reputable schools and the spacious Victorian houses draw families, whereas young professionals relish the transport links and contemporary flats.

Developments to buy and rent in Ealing

Unsurprisingly, this is prime residential development territory, and thousands of new homes and the upcoming Crossrail service are cementing its status for investors. The Elizabeth line will stop at Ealing Broadway, West Ealing and Hanwell. Prices here are about to soar due to journey times to Central London in just 11 minutes.

Dickens Yard is a St George development close to Ealing Broadway, so it’s a top choice for those who are seeking a central spot. It is also rated as one of the best places to live in Ealing.

Great communication with the landlord, great transport links around the area great living community with convienience for dining and shopping, great schools around the area. Find the area relatively safe. Property is fine and great concierge facility, however quite expensive.” – Calvin, verified resident at Dickens Yard

Close by there’s Galliard’s The Apex, an ultra-modern set of towers with a landscaped terrace and a viewing gallery in the taller high-rise. Which is another great place to rent in Ealing.

Affords an excellent lifestyle good location, built with all the mod cons & roof garden. Stunning views of sunrise & sunset.” – Dr Rëē, verified resident at The Apex

The Jigsaw is a mixed-use Fabrica development nearby West Ealing station. Praised for its sleek look and feel, The Jigsaw is ideal for commuters…

Great neighbours, transport link. The appearance of the building is nice aswell. It’s peaceful and it has a lot shops nearby. The building is constantly cleaned and maintenance is dealt fairly quickly.” – Ayra, verified resident at The Jigsaw

For standout views, Folio London at Sterling Place is a W5 development close to Gunnersbury Park and the A4 – good news if you’re driving into town.

The overall layout of the site is excellent with enough green spaces. Excellent quality apartments and best-in-class customer service.

Please review your development:

I like the overall design of the site, which wisely uses the canal as a beautiful scenary. The build quality of the apartment is excellent. Customer service response and quality are excellent. The management team are very willing to listen to our opinions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Beautiful scenary of the site. The site is very accessible to public transport.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Pinky and Martina of the concierge team and staff of the Parcel-Safe team helped me recover my lost parcel. The package was delivered to the Parcel Room on September 8th, but I was unable to locate it despite my efforts. After reporting the issue the following day, the team promptly took action to resolve the situation.

Thanks to their diligence and commitment to resident satisfaction, the team were able to identify who had taken my parcel via CCTV, and I am delighted to have it back. Their swift response and thorough investigation made all the difference, and I truly appreciate the professionalism and care that went into handling the matter.

issue with balconies and no soundproof

Review Date Aug 2024

Living in Faber Green, Northolt, has both good and bad aspects. The area has a limited range of local shops, with only one a few minutes away. However, the development is conveniently located about five minutes from Northolt Tube Station, providing access to public transport. Parking availability is a significant issue, as spaces are restricted, and the developer is reluctant to issue permits. Contact with the parking control network (PCN) is limited, with delays in email responses, and they seem uninterested in resolving permit issues.

Please review your development:

Living at Faber Green in Northolt has been a challenging experience due to significant construction flaws and inadequate soundproofing. Despite the development being new, completed in autumn 2023, several issues have surfaced that severely impact the quality of living. The most pressing concern is the lack of proper soundproofing between floors and ceilings. Every footstep from the flat above, along with other daily noises, is clearly audible, making it difficult to enjoy peace and quiet in one’s own home. This suggests that the flooring and ceiling construction do not align with the original specifications or adequate soundproofing standards.

Another major issue is with the balcony design. Contrary to what was outlined in the planning documentation, the balconies were meant to include underside panels to prevent water and dust from dripping down from the balcony above. Unfortunately, these panels were not installed, leading to a constant problem with water and debris. This oversight not only causes inconvenience but also detracts from the enjoyment and usability of the balcony space.

Overall, while Faber Green has potential due to its location and new construction, the numerous deficiencies in soundproofing and the failure to adhere to the original construction plans, especially regarding the balconies, have created a less-than-ideal living environment. These issues need immediate attention to meet residents’ expectations and ensure a comfortable living experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is the issue with parking and the problems with the balconies. Firstly, the parking situation is more challenging than anticipated, with limited spaces and restrictions that make it difficult to secure a parking permit. It is essential to check with the management about parking policies and availability before moving in.

Secondly, the balconies have a significant design flaw. The lack of underside panels means that water and debris from the balcony above frequently drip down, causing inconvenience and potential damage. This issue was not apparent during the typical viewing but has proven to be a persistent problem. It is important for new residents to be aware of these issues and address them with the management as soon as possible to avoid any surprises and ensure a more comfortable living experience.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is the well-equipped kitchen, which includes modern appliances, ample counter space, and high-quality fixtures that make cooking and meal preparation both easy and enjoyable. It is designed to be both functional and stylish, providing a great space for hosting and daily use.

Modern Design with low quality

Review Date Aug 2024

Living in my local area has its ups and downs. On the positive side, there’s a strong sense of community, with friendly neighbors and regular local events. The area is also well-connected with good transportation links, parks, and amenities like shops and restaurants, making daily life convenient and enjoyable. However, the cost of living has risen significantly, making housing expensive. Noise pollution from above flats occasional traffic congestion adds to the inconvenience. While crime is generally low, there have been some concerns with petty theft and vandalism,

Please review your development:

Living in my development has been a mixed experience. The design of the buildings is modern and aesthetically pleasing, with spacious layouts and good natural light. The facilities, such as the gym and communal areas, are well-maintained and offer great convenience. However, building management could be more responsive; maintenance requests sometimes take longer than expected to be addressed. Additionally, property management has room for improvement, particularly in communication with residents and handling issues like parking and security. While the development has many positives, better management would enhance the overall living experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before moving in,. I also didn’t realize how challenging parking could be, especially during peak hours. Additionally, I would have appreciated knowing that maintenance requests can take longer to be addressed. These are minor issues overall, but they’re good to be aware of when settling in.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is the abundance of natural light, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the day.

Modern living and proactive management.

Review Date Aug 2024

There are a few local shops nearby, providing basic necessities but with limited variety. For a wider selection, you’ll need to travel a bit further.

The nearest station is conveniently located just 10 minutes away, making commuting relatively easy. Parking is well-managed with allotted spaces.

Overall, living experience is good.

Please review your development:

The building’s design is modern and functional, offering a comfortable living experience. Building management is responsive, addressing maintenance issues. However, management should implement an induction process to help tenants familiarise with the electrical appliances.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The management should implement an induction process to help tenants familiarise themselves with the electrical appliances in each apartment.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Martina, the customer service associate handled my parking process proactively, ensuring that everything was completed before delivery of my car.
