Potentially Good Place With Just a Few Tweaks

It took me some time to warm up to the management even though they were generally quite nice (just a bit disorganised on my first day due to miscommunication). The inside courtyard is spacious and there is enough parking room and space for bins. However, I am a bit put-off by the design of my room. It's definitely on the smaller side (hence why my rent is relatively less) and all the facilities are there but the interior design isn't well thought out. The couch seems too big for the room (it's placement leaves very little space), the lights flicker once in a while, the bathroom handle is weak. Also, as someone on the shorter side, a lot of storage spaces and even the plastic hooks are placed quite high and is extremely inconvenient to the point where I have to get a step ladder. I also think most people would've benefitted more from a desk than a TV table. The plugs are also in slightly odd locations. Furthermore, my room is on the second floor where disability access is terrible. It might be understandable that there is no lift but even the stairs feel pretty narrow and a bit steep. The facilities are great, its just that the details need to be worked on.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are decent shopping/restaurant choices (especially with Westfield close by) and the connectivity is great since Stratford is a major East London tube station. There are some garbage bags occasionally but overall, it's a quiet and clean area. However, sometimes areas close to the building are quiet and a bit too dark at night and once or twice I saw really drunk people from the neighbouring hang out making it feel a little scary. The left side (from the Startford Town centre) has much more lighting and bustle compared to the right side (near Litchfield Avenue) where I am genuinely hesitant to get down post-sunset.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have not yet approached them with any substantial issues therefore this review would be pointless. They are friendly and do ask my how I'm doing when they see me.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had sorted out all the details about how I pay utility bills (like what is included and what is not) and contact the council and stuff like that. You don't generally get this during a viewing but these are important details that need to be clarified explicitly. I also wish I had known the area a bit better before moving in because I got lost a lot in the beginning.

It's great and exactly what I need, I just find it ridiculous having to pay 6 months rent at a time, I've never in my life heard of this and all though I've enjoyed my stay I doubt I'd reccomend for people to move in due to this one factor. Compared to other prices for studios in the area however this one was definetly the best for value.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Noise from neighbours can be a bit much at times, I've seen alot of people injured lying down on the ground from being attacked. Other than that it's not actually too bad compared to rest of london

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

My sofa once broke and they came straight in and sorted it, so no issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It was all covered pretty well and had no issues other than 6 months rent at a time
