I had issues when first moving in with the heating not working, it took a few days to get sorted and caused a lot of stress at the time as my partner was pregnant and we have a child. It was freezing as it was March. Once it was sorted everything was great. I have really enjoyed living here and would recommend moving into one of the homes to family or friends. The house is spacious and nicely planned out. Having multiple bathrooms is a great help also.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I really enjoy living in this house I just don't like the area behind us as it has a lot of police activity and people driving cars very fast past our house all the time. Living in the corner is a worry someone may come into the house. But the garden is a nice size and when summer is here it's nice to have family around for a bbq.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When ever I have a problem I've used fixflo and they always looking into the issues and write back to me. Very helpful service.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That my house on the street is the only one to pay more council tax.

Although we are unable to identify you via the information given to us via Home Views, we believe we have located your tenancy based on the information within your review and we can see that there were 2 separate issues – one being with the energy supplier themselves and the following being a fault with the waste pipe, which was fixed within 24 hours for you. We’re really pleased to hear you’re enjoying your home and your lovely garden.

We have lived here almost two years now and we really like it here, we moved from Leeds and were a bit sceptical of moving to Bradford, but we couldn’t have been more wrong! The house itself is just what we wanted, new and modern, it’s also a good size? although as our family expanded, the house feels small but it’s definitely fit for purpose! We’ve managed to make it our own and on all honesty it doesn’t feel as though we are renting! The building and property management is completed through an online portal where responses are usually answered within a reasonable timeframe. We can definitely see is being here for a while longer. We also have a lovely big garden which gets the sun all day long so is great for the weather we have been having!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The good point is the location, it has everything you need on your doorstep or a short walk away! It’s also just the right distance from Leeds and Bradford centres should we need to go to either! Apperley Train Station is also really close by with great transport links! The only bad point is the estate ours backs on to as some (not all) of the people who live there can be a bit of a nuisance however, we haven’t experienced anything personally. It’s definitely something not to put you off!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Usually responded to in a reasonable timescale and have not experienced any major issues so far

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Try and get a house with a double driveway rather than longways! It’s just easier if you have two cars or visitors!

It’s nice having a kitchen that’s well equipped with good quality white goods and big enough for the family to sit down together at meal times , great quality showers in main bath room and in the en-suite also lots of room in them too

It’s such a lovely development very friendly neighbours , I felt at home from the moment we came to view the property

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had a problem with the dish washer when we first moved in I reported this and they came out straight away at a time arranged and fixed the problem

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How easy it was to fit in after living in a close knit culled sac for 23 years I would have done it sooner

The main issue we seem to have is is logging any repairs and gardening at the front, we have been told we cannot touch it make changes to the front garden, but the bushes have never been trimmed but seem to have been done at every other property on the street and when we logged this we were told it’s not an issue

So many local shops but several issues with anti social behaviour

Followings annual inspections they have agreed to log repairs and we have not heard anything since

It would take so long for snagging issues to be picked up that should have been done before we moved in

Hi Demby, Thank you for your review. We believe we have been able to identify your tenancy based on the information presented to us. Following your feedback regarding the front garden – it looks like this has just been missed and we have flagged this to our contractor, Envirocare to ensure it is picked up on their next visit. Please do get in touch with us if this doesn’t get rectified. We can see that you raised three issues during your property health check, two of which were closed down with no works required which has since been communicated to you and a further issue we are just waiting for completion by the house builder. We will be sure to follow this up to get it completed. If you have any concerns or need clarification on the items closed down, please don’t hesitate to contact your Asset Manager.

Lovely development in nice area! Plenty of amenities around too including shops, parks and walks! Nice pub at the end of the street as well! Houses are a great layout and very modern with a clean finish. Rooms are of good size and great for all of the family
