The design of my home is beautiful. It was gorgeously decorated throughout, I wish the paint was more than one coat though. I love my neighbours and the size of the property. I and really happpy with management, the speed or repairs and the responsiveness. I just love living here

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Genuinely happy with the property but the location is around the corner from a rough area. I love there communal picnic area, it is such a great idea. I love that we are walking distance to shops and town.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a leak that was sorted really quickly and done really well

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I knew everything that could have been known before moving in

Excellent, people are very helpful. Management are amazing and overall very good and awesome. Love the house still and the design. Has a good parking space, private garden . People in the office are polite and very understanding. The maintenance are very reliable.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Our house really good and excellent management by the people who’s handling the payments and maintenance. A bit of concern just our neighbouring back alley we’re they’re very untidy, not collecting the bins and just threw their rubbish outside back alley. Also sometime using my front fence leaving some dirty mattresses or some old furniture. So I rung our council to collect them. The gate always leaves open and unlocked. But overall the management in our property are all very helpful and excellent. Placefirst property I always like them people and I like the house I’m living in for nearly 7 years next year i stay in this property I got no problem at all.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Excellent,. People are very helpful. Reliable and easy to talk to.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just our neighbours, in the other side of the road, I think people who own the houses, most are not very tidy. Also my bin outside was nicked twice, even straight away after the bin wagon just emptied my bin, and went to collect my bin was gone. Also I wish they’re more tidy about the recycling.

Great for commuting, shame about the area.

The house is finished to an on standard on the surface: but when you take a closer look it can seem quite shoddy. The kitchen floor is two layers of Lino, which are peeling, the back door isn’t flush so jams and floods, the bathroom light fittings are painted over, the carpet lifts and doors do not fit the frames. Generally property management are professional and proactive and always lovely to see and speak to on the phone and they do send tradespeople quickly- but this doesn’t mean things will be fixed quickly. I think you have to accept that’s the way of the world, and if you own a house and aren’t DIY literate you will have to wait for jobs to be fixed.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

When we first moved in we were told the empty pub would be turned into a nice coffee shop/ working space but it’s actually a HMO. There’s a corner shop and a deli and a few pubs and restaurants round the corner - the transport links are great, only ten minutes to the train and bus station and five minutes to the bus stop to Manchester. I don’t drive so can’t comment on parking but guests don’t seem to struggle. The traffic noise is very loud on Nuttall Street, and the police have knocked on several times to ask if we have CCTV footage due to fights on the street. Bin collections are a nightmare because neighbours cannot be bothered to put their waste in the correct bins, steal bins or just dump their household waste in the alley. There’s a general feeling that people do not care about the area they live in - which is a real shame. It’s great that Place First allow pets. I think the value for money is about right for the area but could be improved.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Some problems are resolved really quickly - for instance a reoccurring blocked drain, has been resolved within 48 hours every time. Our boiler broke in the winter and an engineer was round within two hours (he did say it is likely to break again this winter and nothing has been done as a contingency). On the other hand our back door broke and we couldn’t use it for a month which was a nightmare for accessing bins etc. We have lived here for over five years so I think the amount of issues raised in the period of time and the response generally has been excellent.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that the area is not well looked after by the neighbours and that people drove like lunatics down the Main Street - our property is pavement fronted and it can be incredibly loud and can feel unsafe when coming onto the pavement (I would hate to try to wrangle a pushchair from the doorstep onto the pavement with cars speeding past)

Amazing house

Great first house that has been refurbished really nice and fresh. Brilliant for 1st time renters and everything about the house has been good so far apart from the odd problem. The only downside is the parking at the front. I would recommend this house the my friends and family.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very local to public transport which is really good. House is set out well and is perfect for a first time renter.parking isn’t the best as there is approximately 15 spaces at front and 3 times the amount of that are residents

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very fast and reliable when speaking to Dawn. Highly recommend

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Back gate could have done with having a look at It seems to have been put together on the cheap

Good place to live

Chrissy W (Tenant)

Nicely designed development with many advantages. Property is economical to run and convenient,. Good view from my window of the communal area. Would like to see the communal fenced area open and more activity on it. Still however waiting for my burglar alarm to be fixed, never work since I lived here. Good that pets are allowed.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very happy living in this energy efficient home near to shops and facilities. Only thing I would like to see done better is control of the back streets and less litter on the streets after bin days Quiet street with good parking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

On the whole well. I had a flood from the plumbing which was dealt with quickly. When my boiler stopped working I could obtain immediate advice to fix it myself

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the bedrooms aren't big enough for even a standard double bed, this may be different in the 3+ bedroomed houses but mine is 2 bed, generally big enough for a single perso, but I had to get rid of my king bed on moving
