Average, bit noisy, no parking or facilities

The apartment is average sized and there is no concierge. The lift is good and works smoothly. If I was to give cleanliness a rating, I would put 4 out of 5. The restaurants are ok, I would say the bars are better. One thing I don't like as well is that there is no parking space.

It is very central in town, literally above the shops. That's good but means there is often lots of noise during the day and weekends. Plus the transport links are great and so close by.

Nothing.

Dangerous location, nice flat

Elaine Hayden (Tenant)

Jul 2019

The flat is a good size and the place is fully equipped. They are really easy to move into and livable straight away. The lift works great and while there are no facilities in the building, there is a gym and stuff nearby. It can get noisy which is a problem and I'm not keen on one part of the area near the Lidl. It seems dangerous and in the winter I don't feel safe.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The apartment is really convenient so for commuting from central London it's really easy. Walthamstow village is nearby and has quaint cafes, old restaurants and old bars. It is idyllic honestly feels like a little hamlet. There is a community feel in the village. It is polar opposite to the location that the apartment is actually in though.

Bad Structural Problems, no hot water

There has been no hot water for two years for some residents. There are always general maintenance issues. We have a Facebook group just for pointing them out and people regularly post and it gets left unresolved. There are leaks, cracks and just general problems that come with a new build that show it's terrible quality. The flats are spacious though. I only have two rooms and I prefer the living room but they are both roomy. I would say there are so many structural issues that are not dealt with that need to be.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great in regards to transport and shops. But big worry with safety. There were stabbings literally on the street just outside the flat during the day because of gang turf wars.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There has been no hot water a couple of times and there is consistently poor building management.

Nice apartment but very noisy

The apartment is nice - we are on the top floor and it is well-designed with lots of space and natural light. Everything in the apartment works well - we have never had an issue. The balcony is particularly nice, especially on the top floor as it is large and gives a great view. One downside is that it is really noisy when you open the windows and because there is no air con, sometimes in the summer you have to choose between heat or noise, which is not ideal.

I like how convenient the location is - it's so close to the tube and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. I don't like how noisy it can get though.
