Reasonable input from current management company - but costly, with upkeep of communal spaces/greens. No recent input from Bloor homes. Unfortunately still finding faults from corners cut in the building works, but minor details mainly now.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Reasonable sized communal space/park. Regular bin collections. Not a lot of on street parking without blocking neighbouring homes. No giveaway sign at the junction of the two roads on the estates- has led to a few near misses with cars.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initially responded promptly in the early snag period - though tried to avoid some blame for faults.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Difficulty of essentially living on a building site when one of the first home owners on a new estate - little courtesy with regards to parking outside your house etc.

Wonderful place to live!!

It’s good building but could have been designed a bit better. Loads of space good size bath. Hall is a bit small and half the telephone in the flat don’t work and the doors slam. I think they could have done a better job of the work they have done. I felt it was rushed

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s very nice and quiet area to live with a great garden space and a good size car park for us to park our cars

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

5/10. Sometimes they don’t act quick enough to jobs for fixing things that are who with the building

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The neighbour that moved into the properly that wasn’t related to the area that causes problems

Cottage Farm is a lovely place to live.

The design is fairly standard but the build quality is high. Property management seems to be good. I feel once the site has been fully finished there will be a need to extend facilities and the builders need to ensure that the sewers and drainage to the area is sufficient to deal with such high volumes.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The neighbourhood has a community spirit that makes owners feel safe living at Cottage Farm. The bin collections are regular and reliable. Good schools are nearby. Traffic noise is minimal despite being located off the A6 dual carriageway but this gives great access to local amenities and other road networks.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fairly speedily and with care and sensitivity to individual needs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The fact that the pathway through to Coombe Park would take as long as it has

Towcester is lovely

Location will be much better once the infrastructure is opened linking the development back into Towcester, without this there’s only one main point of access which means the road is heavily congested. Design is nice, the presentation of the estate will look beautiful once the works have finished.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Towcester is a wonderful town, has the benefits of a smaller town with lots of local shops, restaurants etc. traffic on the a5 is an issue as this is the main route when avoiding the M1.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Infrastructure and amenities wouldn’t be in place for a long time.

What is the best feature of your home:

The floor plan is perfect for a family. We love the open plan kitchen family diner.

I really appreciate the opened space it has

Edwalton Park, NG12

Dec 2022

I live in a 2 bed maisonette with my toddler, and I really appreciate the opened space it has. The design is okay, the kitchen storage is massive. The bedrooms are decent sized as well, along with two storage cupboards on the hallway. Building and property management are regularly in touch to make sure everything as it should be.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is easily accessible with cars. There are local buses as well, as of the national staff shortage it is very unpredictable. The estate has a small retail park next to it, with and Aldi, Costa, Greggs, Subway, Mcdonalds, a nursery and pet shop. Alos there is a Garden Center down the road, and a new Porshe Salon just buliding now. We could do with more useful shops and a walking distanced playground which I believe it is in plans for the near future. I haven't experienced any antisocial behaviour or any negative in that aspect.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You probably will need a car for the most comfortable experience.

What is the best feature of your home:

The opened space kitchen and living room as I can always have my eyes on my toddler.
