I really appreciate the opened space it has

I live in a 2 bed maisonette with my toddler, and I really appreciate the opened space it has. The design is okay, the kitchen storage is massive. The bedrooms are decent sized as well, along with two storage cupboards on the hallway. Building and property management are regularly in touch to make sure everything as it should be.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is easily accessible with cars. There are local buses as well, as of the national staff shortage it is very unpredictable. The estate has a small retail park next to it, with and Aldi, Costa, Greggs, Subway, Mcdonalds, a nursery and pet shop. Alos there is a Garden Center down the road, and a new Porshe Salon just buliding now. We could do with more useful shops and a walking distanced playground which I believe it is in plans for the near future. I haven't experienced any antisocial behaviour or any negative in that aspect.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You probably will need a car for the most comfortable experience.

What is the best feature of your home:

The opened space kitchen and living room as I can always have my eyes on my toddler.

Lovely place with a few issues

I live in flats and the design of them is lovely, I love the look of it. However disappointed about the constant issues I'm having, boiler wasn't working properly when I first moved in, the windows have no vents so struggling with mould at the moment

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a lovely area, very quiet and have had no issues with the area I am living in. Currently do not have any negative to report on that aspect.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the property manager doesn't take safety concerns very seriously

What is the best feature of your home:

I love how it has all been designed in a modern style

We love the design of our home and how energy efficient it is!

If sage are the management company through the shared ownership scheme, they have not been great. Their communication has been shocking when trying to sell this shared ownership property and have hugely delayed all aspects of sale and purchase. We love the design of our home and how energy efficient it is! The layout works well and lots of storage for such a small house. Both of the bedrooms are a good size for a small house and garden a good size.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local area has lots of amenities on your doorstep, Costa, Aldi and lovely garden centre all in walking distance. The street is great to live on, friendly neighbours and very quiet being positioned on a cul-de-sac. Regular bin collections and recycling options offered through Ruschcliffe borough council. It would be great to have a local pub nearby - we walk to Meadow Covert in Edwalton in the summer which is lovely. It would also be great to have a park on the estate for the children- there is a lovely waking route through bunny woods which is great to have on your doorstep!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Friendly neighbourhood - very quiet and feels safe.

What is the best feature of your home:

The location is ideal being on a quiet cul-de-sac. It’s also great to have two dedicated spaces and plenty of parking space available for visitors. The location is great with so many facilitators in the area and quality schools.

Very disappointing

The buildings are lovely to look but I'm very disappointed that there isn’t any trickle vents in the windows which could later lead to mold which I’ve heard most properties are already suffering & it’s impossible to keep your windows open in such cold times of the year especially with poor health and the cost of living. The extractor fans don’t make much difference. Also I believe the radiators are far too small for some rooms. The company are lacking in communication to because any time you need something sorting it never gets sorted and you have to keep contacting them. We also pay a service charge and get little service.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I think it would be ideal if we had a park and local corner shop as Aldi is a bit of distance for some that don’t drive especially if you don’t intend to do a massive shop.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Again trickle vents in the window because myself and daughter are at greater risk with mould and shouldn’t be expected to clean it when shows it self as it can be more harmful when disturbed.

What is the best feature of your home:

To install trickle vents in properties to avoid later problems, health problems and deaths sadly due to growing mould. Better communication with tenants ,better understanding and correcting concerns they may have.

Dream house, let down by lack of local community facilities.

The house design and layout is perfect. We love our Bloor Skelton. Rooms sizes are generous, integrated garage is very useful, and love the size of the garden. There is a fair amount of greenery around the whole development too which is nice. We do find parking for visitors is a nightmare though, and wish this had been considered by the builders. It is the thing that will likely make us want to move eventually as it is annoying. People either garages and drives park their own cars on the road as well which makes the problem worse.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great. Close to city centre and close to countryside and motorway connections. I do feel like given the size of this new housing development being so huge, there should have been some new community facilities though. A local pub, post office, doctors, convenience store etc would be better than a Porsche garage which is being built.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The grass laid by the builders is terrible, I’d recommend sorting this yourself after moving in.

What is the best feature of your home:

The bedroom sizes and garden size. For a new build we are really impressed with how generous they are.
