Richmond Park

South London regenerations

Croydon has seen one of the biggest transformations in the past few years. This once rough-around-the-edges district has welcomed countless new apartment buildings, has a brand-new Westfield mall in the works, and is home to street food mecca Boxpark. This giant shipping container holds a market with a brilliant soundtrack and an impressive list of cuisines, and follows hot on the heels of its Shoreditch original. Head here for everything from delicate French desserts to Vietnamese specialities.

Battersea Park

Nightlife

South London majors in quirky after-dark spots. Croydon is packed with night-time haunts, such as entrepreneur favourite, Matthew’s Yard 9 to 5. By day, this is a business centre but by night it transforms into a gallery and theatre.

In Lambeth, some of London’s most famous bar and music scenes can be found, courtesy of the pubs, clubs and also cocktail bars in nightlife titans like Clapham and Brixton. Meanwhile, try the South Lambeth riverside for authentic boozers serving up quality ale and Sunday roasts.

Battersea Power Station

South London’s family friendly hubs

At the other end of the South London spectrum, gems like Sutton need to be explored. Which sits on the lower slopes of the sprawling North Downs. Families drawn by the immaculate (and somewhat affordable) Edwardian homes and highly rated schools. Several parks occupy the area, too. Nonsuch is one of the best, with acres of space to picnic and play, leafy woodland walks and an 18th-century mansion. Manor Park is another – this one’s got a café for coffee and ice-cream stops.

Similarly, developers have cottoned on to the charms of Epsom. A pretty Surrey market town enveloped by countryside, just a 40-minute direct train ride from London’s Waterloo, and 45 minutes from Victoria.

Possibly South London’s biggest selling point is its something-for-all credentials. Its postcodes are eclectic, vibrant and home to all walks of life. Make a home here, and you can discover the capital in all its forms.

The area is safe. The location is very close to the train station and supermarkets. It is great for commuting to Central London for professionals.

Please review your development:

The design and development are wonderful. There are lots of facilities, including but not limited to the gym and lounge. The flats are well-designed. Property management is really good. A huge thanks to Stuart who came to fix issues with washing machine, water tank and heater.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing. We were well-informed about what we need to know and what we need to prepare.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management team is very helpful and responsive. With the help of Jezza, we managed to solve some issues and move in smoothly. The maintenance team is also very responsible. Again, Stuart solved the washing machine issue for us and also solved some other issues at the same time.

Modern and clean. Located in good spot that near high street, train station and shops. This building has garden and podium that provides lots of space for tenants to enjoy. It’s highly recommended for family. Family may have a good time here. Comfortable for living.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish that I had known earlier that this building is of such great quality.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Thank you so much to the management and maintenance team, At 7:50 in the morning my bedroom door was broken and could not be opened, my daughter was locked in the room. I notified the security guard, even though this is out if his duties and knowledge, he immediately came to try to assist. Then I contacted the maintenance team. At 8am Stuart from the maintenance team came to unlock the door as soon as he got to work. Stuart also helped me to install and repair the door lock on the same day. His work performance is worthy of praise and I thoroughly appreciated.

Living at Pinnacle Apartments in Croydon is great. The location is convenient, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. East Croydon Station is just a short walk, offering quick access to central London and Gatwick. Transport links are excellent with frequent trams and buses. Nearby green spaces like Wandle Park add a nice touch, making the area both vibrant and well-connected.

Please review your development:

Pinnacle Apartments offers modern, spacious designs with great city views. The facilities, like the gym and communal areas, are well-maintained. Building management is responsive and efficient, while property management ensures smooth services like maintenance and upkeep. Overall, it’s a well-managed and comfortable place to live.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that parking can be a bit challenging, especially during peak times. Additionally, while transport links are excellent, the nearby area can be quite busy and noisy during rush hour, something to consider if you prefer a quieter environment.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is the stunning city views from the spacious, modern apartment, which create a bright and open atmosphere.
