Lovely houses

Property management team are quick to sort out any issues we had. Houses are nice and modern with appliances included which is a bonus! Been here for 9 months with no major issues. Now that the development is growing, we are starting to get activities such as free ice cream

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice development with a walk to shops and a 10 minute walk to town centre with bars etc. quite noisy with traffic on the main road but the estate is generally quieter

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we had an issue with our front door which was an urgent issue and somebody was here within the hour

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Keep on top of the white paint in the house as it does get grubby with it being a matte finish

Design of the houses are great and simple. A few of the issues we have raised have not been dealt with yet and we are still awaiting things to be fixed. We had issues with plants that were infront of our house that were way too big and I had to cut them down myself as I had no response after reporting them.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to town centre and local shops, all tenants keep to themselves and do not disturb anybody.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most have been fixed with in a good amount of time, some not so much

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing I wish we knew before moving in

Hi Kirah, Thank you for sharing your great feedback with us and thank you for recommending us as your landlord. We've noted your comments regarding some emails not being responded to, so I have passed this on to the Asset Manager for your development so providing they can identify you by your Home Views user name, they will be in touch to look in to this. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Life made easy

Jade (Tenant)

I love the design of the houses. Having a kitchen that you can entertain in is a must for me. The downstairs toilet means no visitors are having to invade on your private space upstairs. The property is warm and I’ve hardly had to use the heating system although it’s good to have a monitor in the bedroom for if there are cold mornings. Any issues I have had I have been able to easily report them through the app and a contractor has been sent to fix the issue almost immediately

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I have lived in the local area for many years so it was good for me to have the opportunity to live in a new build house close to family and friends. There is a Morrisons local around the corner aswell as a local pub and a couple of takeaways. 5 minutes up the road is the town centre with bars and restaurants. There is a train station in the opposite direction, again just a short walk away. We all have our own drives so no issue with parking. Everybody in the estate respects each other and ensures any noise is stopped at the cut off time of 11pm. It would have been good to have a green area with a small park for the children on the estate.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, I have been able to easily report these through the app and had an email response almost immediately

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I found the pictures of the rooms to look smaller on the website photos than they are in real life so that was a bonus. It would have been good to be able to actually view the priority prior to moving in.

We're so pleased to read your comments Jade, thank you for reviewing your home with us. We're sorry you were unable to view your property beforehand - this can be for a number of reasons, including delays receiving keys particularly for brand new properties that have only just been built. We're glad you were shown images of the property instead and that you were impressed by the space once you'd moved in.

Good

Nice house, and development the design of the house is good, everything has a place and is practical. The Property / building management services of simple life could be better, when asking questions / raising concerns etc. Other than that, everything really is good.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location, and good shops near by that area easy to reach by car & foot. Available parking is good.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Not dealt with things quickly, even though they are urgent they have no urgency about them although the problems could have seriously hurt someone in the house. Take a while (4 weeks) to respond to a reported issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would have been good to get info from handing over the keys, he just gave me the keys and left. Take pictures of water / gas meter etc, how to order the bins, when the bin day is.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We’re pleased to hear that you are enjoying your Simple Life home and that you would recommend us as your landlord. We’re disappointed to see that there are some areas that need improvement and we thank you for your feedback. We do try to accommodate a property demo on move in days but occasionally due to diary availability it isn’t always possible. We have fed your comments back to the team for consideration. We believe we have been able to identify you based on the information you have supplied in your review and we can see that you have had one maintenance issue raised since moving in, which was a fix needed on your dishwasher. We can confirm that this is classed as a non-urgent repair and we can see this was fixed just 2 days later than our expected 30 day time frame for non-urgent repairs. Apologies if these expected time frames were not made clearer to you at the time of reporting your repair.

Really happy

We have been here since February and have fallen in love with our home. Everytime you step into the door it bright and fresh and has a really nice feel to it. We had a couple of issues when we moved in but with having the builders onsite they just popped in and fixed what ever was needed

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The street is very peaceful and has a diverse range of people. Just around the corner is a Morrisons local that you can get most things from. Parking isn’t too bad…no traffic noise and as of yet no antisocial behaviour

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The one issue we raised was fixed really quickly and efficiently

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I understand why but it would have been nice to of seen the property abit more in advance.
