Spacious apartment in beautiful, although not extremely well connected, location

SB (Tenant)

May 2021

The big plus side is the spacious apartment - it is actually incredible! It does feel like an insufficient building though, there is a lot of 'lost' space where residents cant store anything due to fire safety issues. Think it could've been designed more efficiently. There are no real facilities, aside from car parking and a communal garden.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Compared to London Fields (where I lived before) - the area is very spacious and quiet. There is no real noise coming from the road. Although I live on the canal side of the development, which boasts amazing views. It does get quite noisy with the bridge being built, but that should all be over soon as its due to complete. Hackney Wick station is a 10 minute walk away, which is not too bad considering I am not going into the office at the moment. Not sure about how I feel walking back in the dark in the winter months by myself though.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the intercom is broken and you can't buzz people in!

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

It's a private landlord, he is tight with his money when things need to be replaced but at least it gets replaced!

Decent area to live in!

Robin Hughes (Tenant)

Sept 2019

What makes this area a great place to live in is its quiet surroundings in comparison to the majority of developments around London. With the continuous growth of population around major cities like London, finding a space away from the hustle and bustle of urban life can be a daunting task. Luckily, the Omega Works development greatly fulfills this goal! In addition to its calm and quiet space, the establishment boasts a very creative vibe which is perfect for potential residents looking for an aesthetically pleasing and unique environment to live in. Furthermore, what elevates the quality of this complex is the residents living within. What makes a living space so great is the community that occupies the area and this development doesn’t disappoint in this respect. This housing environment has a very family-like vibe to it which can very rough to achieve in housing developments these days. I feel really close and comfortable with the people I live around which is a rare luxury in today’s housing establishments. With any development, the many positives can come with a new negatives. First of all, the frequency of transport around the area is quite minimal which can be particularly inconvenient for residents looking to commute regularly around London. Another negative aspect of this housing establishment is issue of safety while living here. I personally feel that some parts of the local area tend to be a little dodgy at times, not a huge issue but definitely something to take into consideration as it can affect the comfort levels of individuals. Overall though, the many positives certainly outweigh the negatives, making this a great location for residents and families of all sizes and backgrounds.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Likes: - The area is a lot quieter than other places you’d traditionally find in London. - The design of the development gives off a very creative vibe. - The residents here are extremely friendly people. Dislikes: - There seems to be a few dodgy areas at times which makes the area a little less comfortable. - The transport feels quite lackluster.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that there were very little shops within the area before I moved in. Access to local amenities is quite important and for me, this development definitely lacks in that respect.

What is the best feature of your home:

The single best feature of my home would be the brilliant canal view which is lovely on a summer day. The abundance of natural light is such an amazing addition that elevates the value of this property.

The area overall is alright to live in but there definitely could be improvements. The building itself looks average; definitely lacks in design and aesthetics compared to other developments. What elevates this living space to a reasonable standard however is it’s really calm and quiet environment which is a huge bonus for me personally. In addition, the abundance of green space and parks that surround the area make the British summertime very enjoyable! This greenery is especially good for families with kids.

Good location

Jorge manso (Tenant)

Sept 2019

The layout and design is moderately ok not too fancy not too casual, which is good as we have the balance. I really love how we are really close to Stratford shopping centre, which gives us a variety to local shops.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I really that the area is calm in its nature. It has nice bars and cannels. However, there is not much options for public transportation within this area, as the closest station is Stratford.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

I wish there was more sunlight in my property as in the winter it looks really dark and depressing inside.
