The Claremont development includes several housing projects, such as the one at the former Marie Callender’s site, which features townhomes, flats, and live/work spaces with sizes ranging from 1,285 to 2,231 square feet. Another key project, South Village, proposes 705 residential units and substantial commercial space, aiming to create a high-density, transit-oriented development. The South Village project is part of the Village South Specific Plan, designed to accommodate a diverse population and contribute to Claremont's housing requirements under the Regional Housing Needs Assessment.

Cladding issues aside (and that's a big aside), my block is missing cavity barriers that are fundamental for fire protection. In the rare instances where they have been installed they have been classified as defective or inadequate. There is also unsuitable fire stopping for all penetrations relating to cables, ducts and flues. Going on, there are issues with compartmentation in communal areas AND in flats; non-complaint thermal insulation; inconsistent detailing regarding the internal sheathing board; and flammable insulation within the masonry brickwork. Oh and the balconies are flammable too. Surprising? Not for Hill, who consistently change the original designs. These contemptible practices - namely purposefully overlooking rudimentary fire safety provisions and in the process skimming off build budgets - are all about money. Why bother with adequate cavity barriers when you can maximise shareholder value? Why bother with corporate ethics when dividends are up? Who cares if leaseholders can't sleep safe at night, when CEO Andy Hill can? Last week there was a new cladding fire in Tower Hamlets. We're bloody scared, on many levels, and all Hill does is post about awards and profits!

That Hill the developer are throughly bent

What is the best feature of your home:

Not applicable. The hot water doesn't work, water leaks through the walls and on top of all that it's going to cost £125k per flat to remediate all the fire issues.
