Brilliant restaurants, transport, cleanliness, safety and luxury. No home-style cafes, and shops are a bit too up-market.

Generally very responsive, and any issues are fixed quickly.

The sofas are very stylish, but not too comfy! Not the biggest issue though

Great variety of restaurants, bars, shops for everyone to enjoy good quality food and drinks whether they are vegetarian or meat or fish lovers, there are plenty of great options. The level of security around is the best you can see in London or even most of the European cities. Very convenient place to live with a great transport network.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very reactive, every time I raise a request I get the response immediately and if there is an issue to be resolved most of the time this is done within the same day

I got exactly what I was expecting and I am very happy so far

Living in this area has been an absolute pleasure. The variety and quality of local shops, restaurants, and bars are exceptional, offering a diverse range of options for every taste. The open spaces are well-maintained, providing beautiful areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Transport links are incredibly convenient, with easy access to buses and trains, making commuting stress-free. The street itself is peaceful and well-kept, with ample parking availability and efficient bin collections. There’s no issue with anti-social behavior, and the community is friendly and welcoming. It’s a fantastic place to live overall.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always responded promptly and efficiently to any issues I’ve raised, ensuring quick resolutions and clear communication throughout. Their professionalism and dedication have made living here a stress-free experience.

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how genuinely supportive and close-knit the community is. It’s not something you can fully appreciate from just a viewing. The regular events and social gatherings create a wonderful sense of belonging, making it feel more like a community than just a place to live. Also, the amenities like the gym and backyard are even better than they appear, offering a perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. It’s a place where you feel at home right away.

I really enjoy living in my building

Wood Wharf area is a very nice area to live in. There are a lot of facilities close to my house, 10 George Street. I have everything that I need: coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, gyms, entertainment facilities, public transport (underground and busses). There are docks in the area for a relaxing walks near the water and some green spaces. However, more and bigger green spaces would be nice. But overall, area is very safe, comfortable, clean and nice.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Staff here is very friendly and helpful. Always responds to my requests or questions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think everything was pretty much clear during viewing, and the rest details were sent to me via email or I found them on the website & apps. But if something wasn't clear, I could've always asked reception staff about it and they always helped.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Moving to 10 George Street in September 2022 following the death of my dear husband has proved to be a great success. Transport links are excellent, especially since the opening of the Elizabeth Line. All my immediate family live in London and it is so easy to keep in touch and see them often. The flat itself is very comfortable with a great view of South Dock from my window where there's always something to see! I took some of my family on a GoBoat trip earlier in the summer which was great fun. We loved it! Shops, restaurants, cafes and other activities are conveniently near which is a great help. I would like to stress how super all the Vertus Team at 10 George Street have been since I moved in two years ago. All the Office Team and Concierge Team have been so friendly, helpful and kind in every way. Thank you all so much! My only adverse comment is not the responsibility of Vertus, but just to let you know that I have contacted Tower Hamlets about the siting of the Polling Station for this constituency (East Poplar). It involved taking the Jubilee Line to Poplar, changing onto the DLR to East India and a 8 minute or so walk to Providence Wharf to a hotel there in order to vote! All in all, the round trip took about an hour! They have promised to look into this before any future council or general elections.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues that have occurred have been dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think more help and guidance could be given about the heating, cooling, water and electricity readings could be given. Also how to regulate these facilities.
