Exceptional living experience

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in Canary Wharf offers a dynamic urban experience. The area boasts a plethora of upscale restaurants and trendy bars, providing diverse dining and nightlife options. Transport is highly convenient with the Jubilee Line, DLR, and upcoming Elizabeth Line ensuring swift connections across the city. The district is clean, modern, and safe, with ample green spaces and waterfront views. Shopping and amenities are abundant, making daily life easy and enjoyable. However, it can feel a bit corporate! Overall, Canary Wharf is perfect for professionals seeking a vibrant, well-connected, and upscale living environment.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, very prompt with all maintenance issues. The building management has consistently shown excellent responsiveness to problems raised by residents. They handle maintenance requests efficiently and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a comfortable living experience. This proactive approach by the management adds significant value to the overall resident experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One aspect to consider about living here that might not be evident during a viewing is the windiness of the area. Due to the high-rise buildings and proximity to the water, the wind can be quite strong, making outdoor activities less pleasant at times and potentially affecting balcony use. It's something residents often notice only after moving in.

Hi Raffa, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review of 1 Newfoundland Place! We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your living experience with Vertus. Your kind words about our striking architectural design and top-notch facilities truly warm our hearts. We’ve worked hard to create a space that offers both luxury and comfort, and it’s wonderful to know that our spacious layouts, high-end finishes, and breathtaking views are hitting the mark. We’re glad you appreciate the Vertus + spaces on offer for our residents, from the state-of-the-art gym to the cozy cinema room and stunning rooftop terrace. It’s our goal to provide a variety of spaces where you can relax and socialise with your neighbours. Your feedback about the dynamic urban experience in Canary Wharf, the convenience of our location, and the array of dining and nightlife options nearby is spot on. We’re delighted that you’re making the most of everything the Canary Wharf Estate has to offer. We also appreciate your note about the windiness in the area. It’s the little things that can sometimes make a big difference, and we have made various improvements to Newfoundland to counteract the effects of the wind on the building. Lastly, thank you for acknowledging our building management team. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and commitment to resident satisfaction, and it’s fantastic to hear that our efforts are making a positive impact on your daily life. Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback and for being a part of our community at 1 Newfoundland Place. We’re here to ensure your living experience remains nothing short of exceptional. Prime Location, Quiet Building, Modern Facilities

GS (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect location - close to the water, restaurants, grocery stores, beautiful gyms, great tube lines, etc. The flat is also quiet and neighbourhood is among the safest in London.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When day-to-day building issues come up, they've been helpful, but when any contractual / lease related questions or issues come up, their service has only extended to the limit of how much money they can extract out of me. Candidly, it is among the worst service I've received for what otherwise is presented as a "premium" offering.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that they would withdraw many of the incentives they offered to sign. Third Space gym benefit? Gone, replaced with an embarrassingly small gym. All inclusive services? Gone, have to pay for each independently. The list goes on..

Great units, mixed operations, deceptive reps

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Canary Wharf is a very nice, new, safe and convienient area of London to live in - can't complain. Transport links are easy to get to. Everything is clean. Parking is non-existent.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Some aspects they've been very good about and others they haven't really fixed an issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The best place to live in London

Daniel K. (Tenant)

Verified Resident

10 George Street, E14

Sept 2024

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great variety of restaurants, bars, shops for everyone to enjoy good quality food and drinks whether they are vegetarian or meat or fish lovers, there are plenty of great options. The level of security around is the best you can see in London or even most of the European cities. Very convenient place to live with a great transport network.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very reactive, every time I raise a request I get the response immediately and if there is an issue to be resolved most of the time this is done within the same day

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I got exactly what I was expecting and I am very happy so far

An Exceptional Place to Call Home

Abdulrahman almutairi (Tenant)

10 George Street, E14

Sept 2024

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this area has been an absolute pleasure. The variety and quality of local shops, restaurants, and bars are exceptional, offering a diverse range of options for every taste. The open spaces are well-maintained, providing beautiful areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Transport links are incredibly convenient, with easy access to buses and trains, making commuting stress-free. The street itself is peaceful and well-kept, with ample parking availability and efficient bin collections. There’s no issue with anti-social behavior, and the community is friendly and welcoming. It’s a fantastic place to live overall.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always responded promptly and efficiently to any issues I’ve raised, ensuring quick resolutions and clear communication throughout. Their professionalism and dedication have made living here a stress-free experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how genuinely supportive and close-knit the community is. It’s not something you can fully appreciate from just a viewing. The regular events and social gatherings create a wonderful sense of belonging, making it feel more like a community than just a place to live. Also, the amenities like the gym and backyard are even better than they appear, offering a perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. It’s a place where you feel at home right away.
