Could be great but management a total disaster

Lived in part of Rathbone market, at Maud Street for 4 years from 2018-2022. The property started well with good management from Savills. The in site manager was responsive. But when they were ousted a year or so before I left, the new lot were truly, truly terrible. No on site in person manager, impossible to get a response from, didn't understand what a deposit was or what inventory meant or how to take a meter reading. Truly a joke and felt glad to leave before the whole development went to pot. It could've been nice but clear that things like the gardening and management of communal area as the original development clearly intended will fall by the wayside.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Excellent public transport with jubilee and DLR. Improving quality of local shops with it good to have a big supermarket nearby in Morrisons. The area can be a bit problematic - had my car stolen from the street parking. Had bikes stolen from the internal locked bike store so store here at your own peril.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There will never be a concierge in the concierge office

What is the best feature of your home:

Never need the heating on in winter which is obviously good with cost of living

As above. Great design, the fit and finish is amazing its like living in a high end hotel. On site management staff are very friendly and professional. We also love the way the storage and bin stores are so well laid out. The communal areas are Really clean.

Great views. Lovely, helpful staff. Easy to get setup with all services. Well-considered, beautiful flats. Mediocre finishes and the furnishings if you chose them are cheap and cheerful (to be expected). The gym is a token gesture - it only really fits one person, but if you’re lucky enough to be training alone it’s great!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Incredible connections in and out of London. Straight into central in 25 mins. The neighborhood is sketchy, sadly. But up and coming. The nearby retail park is handy!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. They were very helpful at accommodating our move in time + date.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

They’re building two more identical buildings next door. It’s going to be noisy for the next 18 months.

Good not bad

It is nice to live in but the management is not the best, even the 24/7 concierge is not available after 1 AM. However they seem friendly sometimes. That is it. Overall it is a nice place to live in. Except for few things that really irritates me.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

They want to seem strict but they are not

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

More foucs on everything . And take reviews seriously

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be more flexible

The facilities and building is my absolute favourite thing ever!! Nothing better than coming home to a nice clean home with friendly people and all you need facilities. The management team are very helpful and thorough! Everything gets done very quickly when asked and they are always willing to help

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We are so happy at windlass apartments. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Our apartment is lovely, staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are amazing. Everything just works!! The only slightly negative thing would be the bun are that is very full all the time. But other than that this is the best place to stay!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All problems or issues raised are always solved quickly and with ease.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Walthamstow is just around the corner and has lots of shops you need!! There is an IKEA very close too which is very handy for a new apartment
