The property managers are very helpful and kind. The facilities are good, but a bit small for the size of the development. I feel very safe living there. I love that my apartment doesn’t use gas. It’s more sustainable and economical. Nicely designed common areas.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very well connected to the rest of the city. Visually not the prettiest area, although improvements can be seen.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew the council tax rate. It’s a bit high for the location.

What is the best feature of your home:

Modern design and storage capacity. Very pretty kitchen design.

Finishing of apartments could be improved considering the cost of the apartments. I think the overall concept of the development is very nice with the common gardens and a nice reception and gym. I would just say that for the cinema it is always booked as one cinema might be not enough for such a big number of apartments. Looking into the apartments I think the overall aesthetic is very nice. However I think the finishing of think could improve such as bad silicon used in the toilet, the choice of lever in bathroom is of poor quality as it gets chipped very eased. In addition in the kitchen their are tiles in all walls except the one next to the sink making it unprotected and very easily damaged

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I would say the location is great because of 2 aspects, the Whitechapel station that offers multiple lines and therefor a connection to all the city and the big sainsbury’s as it is a convenient supermarket for our everyday needs. In addition, having the royal mail office so close by is great when sending parcels. As a bad comment, I would say that the construction noise is very disturbing however I know that once the building is complete this will go away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have never asked anything to the building management.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have liked to know that the construction of the building in front would have taken such a long time to finish.

Perfect Modern Development for Young Professionals

Absolutely love the Development. The amenities are great (cinema, terrace, gym) and the concierge are always available and there to help on a 24h basis. The interior are kept really clean with someone that comes on a regular basis. Property management can send engineers if there are issues in the flat within 1-2 days

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good range of local shops towards Whitechapel and Shadwell (within 5min walk) and couple of pubs. New places are being developed. Good transport links with the Elizabeth line and others in Whitechapel station (7min walk). Even though the hospital is close by, there is no noise as the sirens don't go off at night in the street. Parking availability is limited though and tenants need to file for a permit with the city

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes -called the concierge and an external person can come within 1-2 days to solve it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The terrace (good) and having to book your slot at the gym (bad). Sometimes slots are booked and residents don't show up

Living @ Mt. Anvil - amazing benefits

The building layout is really nice, the addition of having an on-site gym and cinema are amazing benefits. The heating systems, controls and windows/doors within the flat are also nicely done. Facilities has great customer service and are nice and professional whenever they have come around to the flat. Those working the concierge desk are also helpful when needed.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of the Georgette Apartments are amazing, it’s only 5-10 minutes to Whitechapel station and/or to Sainsbury’s. The closeness of Whitechapel station with Liverpool St. only one stop away makes commute seamless. Living on the front facing side of the building & lower floor doesn’t cause much noise either, the windows are fitted nicely and really only emergency sirens when they are next to the building are heard.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building Management has stopped by whenever maintenance was being done on the property and have been professional when interacting.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’m letting the flat privately and wish more of a walk through introduction was done on the flat & the appliances since some of the controls were a bit tricky to work at first. Other than that, it was great learning beforehand how close the building is to Whitechapel station which is a huge plus.

Happy in the Silk District

Concierge and building maintenance is awesome. They know us by face and name and are always friendly. Prompt response with repair issues and consistent service. Cleaning woman for our Building is wonderful. One design issue is that to buzz someone into the building, the timing is way too short for them to get to the elevator. You then cannot buzz them in again. This would be a simple fix by extending the time by 10-15 seconds.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We could use a local convenience / grocery shop in the building. We do have some anti-social behavior but I do not feel unsafe.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Every time I need something attended to, Mount Anvil is quick and efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

A smile and brief hello in passing or in the elevator goes a long way if you plan on living here for a while.
