Only recommend for those who like the cold in the winter and prefer not to flush

We had no hot water/heating for weeks during the winter months. The AC never worked in the East Tower during our 2 years stay. Also we couldn’t use one of our rooms for 6 months because of a leak. The plumbing in the entire building has issues - to the point of flooding a flat with feces. The only benefit: nice views but those won’t keep you warm.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The building quality of the Landmark East Tower is incredibly low compared to similar price points in Canary Wharf

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They constantly reply with “we’re looking into it”. But nothing gets done.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Bad plumbing, issues with heating, hot water, gym equipment broken and never replaced, bad estate management

The East Tower provides the most beautiful views! You will not find better views in any other building in Canary Wharf! You can see many London Landmarks located miles away, like the parliament with Big-Ben, London Eye, River Thames, and all skyscrapers of City. There is also a balcony, you can enjoy sunny days in your patio! 24 Hour Concierges are very helpful and kind. They can take your parcels at any time as well as your laundry.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Canary Wharf is one of the safest areas in London. You can walk without danger even after midnight! There are many large shopping malls nearby, cafes, restaurants and pubs! The Thames Riverside is the most beautiful place to enjoy your long walks and exercise!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sometimes it may take longer to respond to our enquiries, but at the end of the day the issues are finally resolved. They have never refused to accept responsibility, maybe they need more members of staff to handle them. Overall they are very kind and hepful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is air conditioning in our flat! I have never seen a feature like this in an english house. Very important for hot sunny days of summer, which are more frequent in recent years.

Good location bad facilities

I have lived here for 2 years and there has been constant problems with hot water supply. At the moment we have not had hot water for 2 weeks. To date, we still dont have hot water ane I live in a 3 bedroom apartment on a top floor payint premium rent. Its just not good enough

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No parking availability for workmen or visitors outside building. Bin drop off is in garage downstairs. No problem with anti social behaviour in the area. Feels very safe around the building and lots of food choices and restaurants here. Dlr and tube station nearby. Lots of bars and parks to relax in

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The hot water issue is constantly a problem for 2 years and the cooling system doesnt work in the summer. These are essential and what we pay for, so we are not getting what we pay for which is not acceptable

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the cooling system and hot water supply is not consistent

Fantastic - but with a different building management

One of the last buildings where durability was more important than looks. Great value for money and extremely well-located. The flats are well-insulated and the gym is good. Unfortunately, the building management is extremely unresponsive and incapable of managing heating/cooling systems.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is up and coming, especially after tbe pandemic when less and less workers frequent the area. Lots of great leisure activities, could do with more green spaces.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The landlord is very generous, the estate agent too. The building management has not responded to any queries.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the building management (Rendall & Rittner) is incapable of managing the heating / cooling systems. There‘s currently a lot of construction work ongoing.

Nice building with poor management

Marianna A. (Tenant)

Though the development itself is quite good, the quality of building management in recent years plummeted. Constant issues with cooling/heating/hot water and gym which the management is incapable of resolving. Extremely poor communication. Residents liability to pay for the services that are not provided is also a major issue. Overall design is good and convenient, however the gym is big disappointment with very low quality maintenance.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very good for restaurants and bars. Quite good selection of shops. Very good transport links including DLR and Jubilee Line with very little problems. Short tube ride to London Bridge and Waterloo stations. However ongoing construction adds to the noise and pollution in the area. Although some green spots have been added recently the area is missing a good and well-maintained park.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Extremely poor response in resolving main issues, constant promises with no real actions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Very good and helpful concierge team in contrast with very poor senior management.
