Orchard Green is located in Faversham, a great location for commuters to London Victoria and St Pancras along with trains to Canterbury East and Dover Priory. A variety of local shops and supermarkets can be found in the town centre.

Lovely looking development, spaced and built nicely. Field out front for kids to play outside, shame there’s no park area as it’d be great for it. Any issues are usually resolved rather quickly with the property management team who are very helpful and polite.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great selection of local shops, access to the motorway and train station. Bad points: Rather busy car parks, no space for visitors and damage to vehicles; even when parked in allocated space outside your own home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking, there’s no place for visitors to park, there used to be a small car park out front by the field in which we told visitors to park but now it’s been removed there’s not much else space to park.

What is the best feature of your home:

Everything, it’s nice to be in a clean home that’s completely fresh.

My house is designed lovely wouldn't change a thing any problems we had after moving in was dealt with quickly and effectively. The houses all look lovely and the majority take good care in keep the development looking nice. To improve I'd like street lights and a park.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location to the motorway have shops nearby and nearest primary school is just across the road. Parking is ok as I have 2 spaces but there isn't much for visitors.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there isn't a crossing across the a2 to get the children to school. There is a bridge further up but if you have a pram or wheelchair you can't use it.

What is the best feature of your home:

The layout the bedrooms are massive and I like having the big hallway

What first attracted us to the development was the design of the house. It was a modern family home that ticked all our boxes and more! We liked the smaller size of the development and the layout of the houses. The internal designs and finishes are basic in areas, such as the electrical design, lighting locations, and kitchen units. The one thing I feel is missing from the property is a more environmentally conscious features. The heating and water are outdated systems instead of looking to utilise solar and or wind.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is in easy reach to schools and some shops, having a car definitely helps. The design is really good for our property and there is plenty of parking. The green space is large and to use the benefit could have been designed with communal space in mind. Such as inputting benches, activities for children or a small development realm area for people to gather. There is a low traffic noise from the motorway but this is never heard within the houses. The development doesn't have public lighting and the roads are privately owned, however this isn't taken into account with the council tax banding. The train station is a 15 minute walk which is fantastic considering the development quality and location.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before we moved in we organised our own carpets and flooring. The sales team helped us coordinate this so it was all ready for when we moved in.

What is the best feature of your home:

The modern layout, it gives us the ability to have live in comfor and entertain. The size of the rooms is a great feature and we just love our house!

Lovely clean fresh design, two toilets and a lovely back garden. Beautiful block paved drive. Kitchen fitted with plenty of cupboards which are a lovely design. If I have a repair the company are very quick to resolve it. Bathroom also holds bath and shower

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely quiet area, school within walking distance. Town centre close by with plenty of parking. Train station is a 5 minute walk away. Nice local bars and places to eat.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Hun collection is every Wednesday

What is the best feature of your home:

Two toilets and a beautiful back garden along with spacious bedrooms

The estate is poorly designed with no street lighting

Fran A (Shared Owner)

Mar 2022

The estate is poorly designed with no street lighting , which is a danger to safety . The parking is badly thought out with nothing to say it is private , spaces are not marked out and everyone has to guess where their spaces end. Strangers and tradesmen park in my spaces all the time . Poor, unhelpful response from housing association regarding parking issues . Poor house design, have ditch beside my house to allow it to meet regs. Likely to cause damp issues in the future as water just pours into it and it abuts the house .

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great transport links for London . Faversham a lovely area, close to the seaside . Shopping poor. Bin collection good. There is no street lighting on the whole development which is terrible and dangerous to safety . The parking bays are not marked out , there are no signs to says the parking is private . People park in my parking bays all the time . There is minimal traffic noise and neighbours are lovely .

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there would be no street lighting and parking bays would not be marked in any way . Had I known these things I would not have bought as both cause problems .

What is the best feature of your home:

My neighbours . The area . A nice size . The plain decor .
