Oldchurch Park is a development in the London Borough of Havering, just half a mile from Romford station (which will welcome Crossrail very soon). It's home to almost 376 units, with one, two and three-bedroom layouts available. Leafy Oldchurch Park is within easy walking distance from the property.

Upkeep of communal areas, particularly gardening is awful. Basically everything has been dead for 6 years. No available parking for guests - making people feel very isolated. Repairs take forever to take place. Housing association/management company take forever to respond to queries and complaints, if at all. Services get worse whilst charges increase. Area is pretty quiet. Cleaning is fine. Buildings are generally fine and designed ok. Outside/surrounding roads poorly designed - too much space wasted. One way system is pointless as no one adheres to it. Nearby park has been closed for months so access to estate is restricted - making walk to town/station longer.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to shops and amenities. Walking distance to train station. Parking is appalling.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Have never responded to first contact. Have had to chase continuously. Have failed to respond at all on at least one occasion. Unsatisfactory answers the rest of the time. Slow and unhelpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was told there was visitor parking. This was a lie. I was not offered the opportunity to purchase a parking space despite being one of the very first buyers.

No visitor parking and very little parking for residents. An odd one way system for cars on the estate that most people ignore. Flats are very well insulated against noise so you never hear your neighbours. Communal areas are always kept clean and tidy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good for shopping and the train station.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How difficult parking would be

What is the best feature of your home:

The flat is modern and well insulated which means that it is very quiet.

The location is ideal with train station, bus stop , shopping place, park, hospital and school very near to property. The cleanliness is good and inspite of being block of flats lot of green area around. The property management is bit slow to act on complaints but when reminded regularly they do follow it up.

Like- location Dislike- property management could do better

Quite big flats and balcony is a good addition. It's very spacious which is good for my family. The apartment is very clean and the neighbours are very nice and welcoming to all new families. I would recommend this area to people coming from outside london

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Park is a good thing about here, the amount of boys that go in the garage is not good. good transport links

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really,
