Best place to live in London!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The pool, gym, endless places to social and work. There is also a great cafe, 404, which is perfect for meeting old and new friends and working at! No bad parts at all!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we had problems with our washing machine and they resolved the issue within the hour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The gym class timetable, which now offers a wide variety of classes at good times of day.

Manager response

Hi Lucy, Thank you very much for your wonderful review and great to hear you would recommend us. Glad you have been able to make good use of the facilities and gym classes and that the team efficiently managed your requests. Please continue to reach out to the team if ever you need further assistance. Kind regards, Emily and The New Acres Team

Gym will be used for all 18 towers and is already stupidly busy

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We can't fault the area; it couldn't be better! However, THERE ARE NO PLACES FOR PARKING that are not extortion. They do not offer on-site parking, and if you need parking, prepare to pay at least £300 per month in the nearest private parking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The maintenance requests are never replied to, so we have been living there for 4 months, and our main window is still locked, and they did not give us a key. I assume they are overwhelmed by the number of new people moving in, and their maintenance and admin team seems small. So do not expect a quick reply. Also, their admin team messed up terribly with the rent and the direct debit set-up. The whole team seems to be relatively young and inexperient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I WISH THEY HAD EXPLICITLY TOLD US THE GYM WOULD BE SHARED WITH 18 APARTMENT TOWERS. SO THE GLAMOROUS POOL AND GYM YOU SEE IN THE VIEWING AS A SELLING POINT IS STUPIDLY BUSY WITH LOADS OF PEOPLE THAT APPARENTLY NEVER LEARNED ABOUT GYM ETIQUETTE. THE CONCERNING BIT IS THAT THE DEVELOPMENT IS NOT YET FULLY OCCUPIED. ALSO, IN SUMMERTIME, THE POOL LOOKS LIKE A POOL FROM A 3-STAR HOTEL IN IBIZA, ABSOLUTELY PACKED WITH NO SPACE FOR NOTHING.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

new acres was the perfect place to live. The only things I would improve are the need for better parking and also there needs to be a better local supermarket with a wider range of products. Finally if there was a place to get a quick healthy lunch, given the amount of people that work from home, this would be perfect. Also the dump is quote noisy!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

perfect. issues were always sorted quickly, although to be honest there were very few issues!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

parking facilities, it's too expensive at riverside

The quality is very good but it has lacked on the design and functionality aspect

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I like that the station is very close to the development, i like that it is convenient to get into central london and the area is safe but yet fun with loads of restaurants and pubs. I do not like the noise from the trains and how difficult it is to get stuff into your flat on moving in dues to the complexity of the design.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been very helpful with every request. I can see some of the staff are under pressure with the amount of people moving at once i can say sophie at the desk has been exeptional as well as Denis.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there was nowhere to park, even on the street you cannot get a permit.

Great development that could be even better.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great! In just 5 mins walk you get multiple options, river bank for nice walks along it, shopping mall or plenty of fitness places, many yoga studios, etc. Train station and a high street with multiple shops and cafes is also around the corner. It's a quite area, and great for transport links (trains, buses, lime bikes) if you don't have a car.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We filled an extensive inventory report where listed a lot of small issues (and not very small like broken carpet) however we only got maintenance guy coming in two weeks tiem and its been a two weeks after his visit and we still haven't heard anything. Will it be fixed/ when?

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Turned out that I have to pay £40 per months to have my cat with me as well as pay for the gym classes. Would be more fair to communicate this clearly before move in.
