Mustard Wharf at Tower Works, LS1

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I have liked living at mustard wharf which is a great location close to the city. It is located next to the train station so is great for commuting to York and nice when returning home when tired.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have had one issue with my washing machine however it was due to the filter being full. The lady came up the same day and showed me how to empty this for future.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is nothing I wish I had known and any questions I have had I have asked to reception.

There is a wide range of facilities and work spaces available making everything easier and accessible for residents

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have not had any major issues since moving here, but whenever I have asked for help they would do it as soon as possible

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I love the area surrounding mustard wharf, it is really lovely and makes you see another side of Leeds

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a lovely atmosphere in the surrounding area. The range of bars and restaurants is great and they are all set by the canal so each has a great view. The train station is less than a five minute walk away and city centre just ten.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very efficiently. We have only had one maintenance issue and it was fixed the day after we reported it. Friendly staff too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We didn’t realise that there would be as much as a community feel to the place. As we are new to Leeds this was a really nice surprise and way to meet new people.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location, less than 10 minute walk from the city centre. There are loads of great local business where you can get food and drink.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responded very quickly and problems were sorted promptly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We never actually viewed our flat itself but I have nothing bad to say because it is excellent.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good: Location is excellent as it’s quickly walkable into town, excellent transport links from the train station. Very calm area. Access to canal trail for fitness. A few nice restaurants and cafes with more on the way (could be more though, it will be nice when they start filling in).

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We submitted an alteration request for the flat (which is great that it’s even an option!) and they were quick to respond, very professional and efficient the whole way through.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The address situation is confusing as we were given 2: one for post and one for packages, couriers occasionally struggle to figure it out. In some cases, packages have been returned because either our new address didn’t exist in the courier’s system or the courier didn’t know they needed to go to the package room (despite leaving delivery/safe space notes wherever possible). But we just moved in so we will figure it out, just a “growing pains” kind of thing. The parking situation is less than desirable, since we have a car and are on a waiting list with an unknown number of people and have to park elsewhere in the meantime.
