Great place spoiled by greedy developers/building management

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We moved to Kidbrooke during lockdown to escape the concrete jungle and it has delivered exactly what we were after. The location is amazing with good connections by rail and road yet once home the view of Sutcliffe Park makes it feel like you’re a million miles away. It should be stressed that this view is only really fully enjoyed by flats lining the park (Meadowside, etc). It is certainly not the same for the high-rise blocks in Pegler Square. Ironically the biggest down-side to living here is actually over-development. Berkeley homes are putting up more and more and more (the total units have been drastically increased since original plans for the village were agreed) meaning the area is quickly becoming overcrowded. Trains have become hugely overcrowded in the mornings and a doctors appointment takes weeks. Unfortunately the other side of the train station (non-Kidbrooke village) is now also being developed with thousands of flats meaning this problem is only getting worse.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Problems take far too long to be resolved and fees are a like-it-or-lump-it situation.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The community heat scheme is completely unaffordable in this current climate.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Train availability is good during peak hours but late evenings they are every half hour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The only issue i had was building specific and that was regarding the lift being down for more than one day. This was resolved quite quickly though.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

the timeline regarding new commercial units

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Everything is great, plenty of parking spaces, peace and quiet place, just need more stores to be open on the commercial properties.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Slow responds I would say, some of the issues have not been resolved yet.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It is best to choose a property facing south and east side. Not too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter. Saving the energy is top priority.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The design is Morden overall quality is ok. But the public facility always broken, almost every week the lift will be broken and no feedback from the developer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Normally it’s very slow. For example the broken lift and noisy sound from the new opening box

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The developing plan on the area. For example, open a new boxing gym.
