Good design of estate, our house has a lovely view out into the county side. It is the best new build location we have seen. Thought has been put into the estate design with trees planted etc Occasionally communication is lacking In Getting issues sorted and has involved us chasing things up.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good elements * quiet area, facilities such as shops within short walk or drive, * big city’s Sheffield, Lincoln and Nottingham within 1 hour drive

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The local community is pleasant and welcoming. Worksop is also an area where you can meet your social needs and hobbies.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view, build quality and overall location. Decent size garden for a new build.

Peace and quiet in a remote (ish) location.

The design of the properties is fantastic. They look really lovely and have a good mix of brick and stone, semis and detached. There is plenty of space between each property so you don’t feel too overlooked. The development is built on an old farmers field and the farm still operates. We pass sheep most days to go through the estate. I really love it here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of Hoddings Meadow development is quite rural and it picture perfect, build on a farmers field. Walk past sheep and have far reaching views of rolling hills. We have complete peace and quiet. If you want to here silence at night time, or bird songs in the morning, then this place is for you. Downside, need a car and can never get a taxi.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing major but if you want to be connected to a larger city like Sheffield or Nottingham getting taxis is not easy or cheap! Train does go straight to Nottingham via Whitwell, which is a 20 minute walk.

What is the best feature of your home:

Energy efficient and lovely and warm. Also nice big garden which is not massively overlooked.

The development location is perfect, the houses are of good size. Finished to a good standard however all interior is of basic quality. The site is maintained pretty well by the landscapers, currently still building houses and they are good at keeping the area clean and maintainable of dust.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A small village with 1 local corner shop so to speak to get essentials, although 5 minute drive and you'll find 3 supermarkets and plenty of fast food places. The development itself is on a farm so surrounded by open space with sheep's and horses at the entrance.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The low quality tickle vents allow alot of noise and draughts. As residents we have a Facebook group to allow us to have discussions. We're really trying to build a community by organising our own seasonal events e.g easter egg hunts.

What is the best feature of your home:

The double drive at the front of the house. Allowing for side by side parking instead of 1 behind the other.

The house designs are all different which is nice! Compared to other developers like Gleeson, these houses are build well and the driveways are tarmac with drainage. HOWEVER, the newer build houses have a noticeable decrease in quality. Doors and windows are not alignment, brickwork has beyond average gapping and I’ve seen an outside cavity vent below the grass line! Be careful and inspect well.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local area is pleasant enough but there is nothing really within walking distance. Any pubs or shops are a short drive away. The development is basically built in a farmers field.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Paintwork inside was a bit patchy (was done under warranty). The neighbours also insist on parking on the street rather than using their driveways. This is their right but it makes access down the street and parking on the driveway tricky.

What is the best feature of your home:

Open plan design is nice, larger garden and decent fencing.
