Management is ok

James M (Tenant)

Management is ok. Could be cleaned more throughly though. A new paint job and general maintenance needed asap to keep it fresh the residents. Bin need way more maintenance, and empty more frequently. Gets smelly in there in summer with the hot weather.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We need a local gym. And more local amenities to bring the community closer. Only downside is the noise from the weekend but its ok.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we knew how long it would take for new restaurants and amenities to be installed.

What is the best feature of your home:

Location is prime to get to central and east london

Nice area, too noisy/screaming kids

FS (Tenant)

Sept 2021

The design is good in that the buildings are and look different so it doesn’t look uniform and boring. however, some of the buildings look so ugly and stand out a bit. Also the colourways chosen for the flats are unfortunately dull. The facilities are brilliant and the flats have been well thought through.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops are lacking, we were told a co op would open soon after moving in which we are still waiting for. Also there is a play area that has been placed outside of our flat which is wildly annoying, on top of the noise of the children’s playground. It feels like a bit of a silly decision to have placed this here, especially when people are working from home and we need our doors open for fresh air. It’s hard to escape the noise of screaming kids. Also there is constant building work and it gets frustrated seeing one thing finish and then noise come in from another piece of work straight after.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t reached out yet with any problems but we are due to soon

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d have known how much playtime the school opposite have, the noise is constant in the weekdays. I also wish we’d been told the schedule of building work that was due to happen. It’s been constant. It’s far too noisy.

Great location and building!

Katherine (Tenant)

Sept 2021

The design on the building and flats are great. Spacious and modern living space. The on-site staff at the building are pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the property management company. I have gotten write ups/warnings from Touchstone for things our neighbours or outside people do. Very rude and take forever to respond and rectify issues.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Centrally located between hackney wick and Stratford. 5 minute walk to hackney wick station and 15 minute walk to Stratford international. Plenty of local restaurants and bars and great atmosphere! The only negative about it is the constant construction/ trash collection that starts as early as 7am sometimes.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been quick to respond to day to day issues occurring at our building!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure construction is completed in the section you are moving into if you enjoy peace and quiet. Also if you don’t like loud noise on a Friday/Saturday night, this probably isn’t the right place for you

Living in the Olympic Park

Jamie L (Shared Owner)

Verified Resident

Sept 2021

I've been really happy to move in here. The design of the building and interiors are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. Sound insulation between flats is great which is important for WFH. The flats all have large windows and balconies which allows for a lot of daylight. Building management so far seems fine, with any snags addressed promptly

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The site is in a great location with the Olympic Park literally on your doorstep. The canal bars and restaurants are just a stone's throw away. Road noise is not audible due to the courtyard nature of the development

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Haven't had many issues but all have been responded to and addressed promptly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It's been great to see all the shops and restaurants open up nearby in hackney wick. Looking forward to them opening within the development

High quality living

Joe (Tenant)

Verified Resident

Sept 2021

Our 1 bed flat in bridge house combines high quality appliances with a thoughtful design to create an inviting living space. The quality of the doors/windows are excellent and help keep the heat in and the noise out which is important in such a lively area.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Hackney wick is a really exciting area with lots of bars, clubs and pubs whilst still close to Stratford.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No issues have been raise but all issues regarding the building have been resolved quickly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i would've known the amount of construction work in Here East as well as the amount of sun the flat gets.
