The design of the house is good, fixtures and fittings are of a good standard but poorly fitted and in general require attention after moving in , as everything appears to have been installed on the hurry up . In general the brickwork is dirty and untidy due to different crews and mortar being used . Gardens are clay and builders rubble covered by turf which eventually struggles or die .Plants at the front of the properties tend to suffer the same . Property Management is none existent. Management ?

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops need Improving as they aren’t very inviting, virtually all the new build residential travel to Chesterfield/ Sheffield for variety ,and choice. Open spaces are none existent but there are plenty if you’re prepared to travel. There are no transport links on the development, the streets are reasonably quiet except for large builder’s vehicles during the week due to on going construction work , there is no parking for visitors , bin collection is good, there is anti social behaviour in Bolsover.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Should have really questioned the site plan scale / spent more time walking around the development and looking at the proximity of houses/ asked questions on specific time scales for completion of roads and footpaths and not accept verbal possibly time scales from sales staff. Ask for a firm completion date of your phase .

What is the best feature of your home:

Large family and kitchen space Large main bedroom

Great location and a quiet estate close to M1 and rural Derbyshire

The estate is well designed with a good deal of privacy from neighbors which is nice. The layout is also good as there is no through route in the development which reduce traffic and disturbance. we have not however been too impressed with the after care/management from Jones homes who have been slow to rectify some snags and took over 18 months to finally surface the access road. Over all a nice development which we have been very pleased with and would recommend living in this area.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The proximity to the M! and the semi rural location is excellent. Just retired and find the area is great for facilities and access and the relative 'cheap' price of houses makes it ideal. Being in a cul de sac means the location is quiet and this suits our needs. Council collections have been good and due to location very little traffic noise

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes but as noted above they have often been quite slow to respond.

Great house and location - issue with property management

Overall we love the development. The house has great curb-appeal and is spacious and well planned inside. We especially like the kitchen diner and spacious living room and master bedroom. One downside is that we are still waiting for snags to be sorted 3 years after moving into the property. Obviously the pandemic will not have helped the situation, however we do feel we have been forgotten about and our snags are not being prioritised over the newer houses being built at the back of us.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We really like living in the area. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. There are nice walks to go on and Bolsover Castle is great too. Easy and quick access to the motorway. We like living on the street. It is very quiet and we have not experienced any anti-social behaviour. No issues with bin collections.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initial snagging was completed promptly. However, some issues have been outstanding for 3 years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If I was moving into a brand new property again, I would definitely get a professional snagger.

The development as a whole has been managed well.

The development as a whole has been managed well. The design of the houses are excellent. They have great curb appeal. The builders and site manager were good at sorting issues pre - pandemic. However, since the covid pandemic, we have had a number of snags still to seen to. We moved in three years ago!! Facilities are limited on the development. Just houses - no park or green areas at this moment in time (I believe these will come at a later stage of the development).

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

On the whole an excellent location. Not too busy. Very little traffic other than people who live on the estate. Very easy to get into the countryside, waking from the home address. No anti social behavior of any sort. Local shops are adequate. Some nice local bars and restaurants, but could do with more in this area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initially good. However since the pandemic all snag repairs put on hold. Still waiting for issues to be resolved after three years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I'd definitely recommend spending the money on a professional snagger who will look for things you don't think of.

Fab development! The site managers and sales team are so happy to help with anything, any snags that come up are dealt with very quickly, can’t fault them! Love that each house is built with different bricks, it’s unique and well thought through! The layout of our house is what we fell in love with, much bigger than they look from the outside!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely place to live, close to shops/supermarkets! Everyone on the estate is so friendly and kind!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly resolved - brilliant team! They come and fix any snags you have and don’t leave any mess or anything. Site manager regularly checks with us that we’re happy with everything.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More stressful than you think but worth it!
