Lovely area, would recommend newer buildings at better prices

The design of the flat isn't great. You'll need the windows open during warmer months but because of the engineering and design of the building, you'll always hear the doors shaking. And when anyone closes the door on your hall, you'll hear it VERY loudly. The price isn't really competitive anymore with the area, given there are many new builds at the same price.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Depends on which side of the building you live on. If its facing London Road, you'll hear noise from the late-night club on the weekends and of course the cars. If it's facing the market, you'll hear buskers and the sound of the market almost every day, but most days it's manageable. Events in the local park can also be heard. If you're looking for a lively area though this is it. Right above a supermarket and access to great transport links in less than a 10 minute walk to the station.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Respond to maintenance requests well but have recently changed companies to outsource repairs, somewhat complicated process now with the app and having to deal with the third-party company directly as a resident.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the apartments wouldn't really be upgraded often.

Flats are quite airy and have a relatively modern design. Access to the gym, cycle storage, garden and lounge are added bonus. The handyman service is very good and all the problems are timely addressed. The property management team is very helpful too.

Local markets and proximity to other shops in the town. Best place to stay if you work at Canary Wharf or in the city

All maintenance issues were appropriately and timely addressed

The area in general gets quite noisy at times. Wish we knew about this

High price for fleeting value in up and coming neighbourhood

The development hasn't really changed in the last 5 years, yet the price continues to rise. This is not ideal, given there are much newer apartments being built in the area that would offer much better value and views of the city. The door shut very loudly and because of how the flat is designed, whenever it's windy the doors will constantly creak and bang against the door frame (especially if the windows are open, which they need to be when it's hot). So all in all the design of the building is quite outdated.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is great, although it is starting to become gentrified. There are ample parks in the area and a lively market just outside of the building. The apartment is situated just above a large ASDA as well, which makes it a perfect location to live. The apartment is roughly a brisk 6-minute walk from the train station, which is one of the most accessible in the city with connections to everywhere.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Standard response to maintenance requests, happy with most of the repairs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew they'd relentless raise the rent without improving the actual quality of the flats.

Flats are decent size and apt for couples . The internal furnishing is of decent quality too. The overall development is quite fresh and airy as compared to some of the other blocks in this area. Added bonuses are gym, cycle storage and the communal space

Amazing location if you work in Canary Wharf or in the city. Local markets and proximity to shops are an added bonus

Always responded timely to any maintenance issues we had

At times the area in general is quite crowded and wish we knew that

The design is modern, they are providing a gym, a cinema room and a concierge service that collect the parcel for you. They organise a lot of activities through the year and the manager of the building is really helpful. There is a fee for the parking.

In the area there a lot of shops and restaurants and all facilities you need but crime is really high on the side of the station

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They try to help us every time but they couldn’t take action against a noisy tenant that was breaching the contract even after involved the police and the council

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the rent was increasing so much every year and that they would never accept pets
