Living in this 1-bed flat was a positive experience. The design and facilities met the needs of us as a couple, offering a comfortable and modern environment. The building and property management teams were generally professional, ensuring a hassle-free experience. While there is room for improvement in handling non-urgent maintenance and adding character to the design, the flat provided a good balance between cost and quality, making it an ok place to live. I did however experience a rent increase of £450 a month which I found unreasonable

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The food choices are great, transport is good too as stations are a 5 min walk away. There can be loud noise from the road as it is near a main road

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management are helpful and responsive but the landlord we personally had wasn't very nice to deal with as they increased the rent unreasonably per month and also tried to keep our deposit due to standard wear and tear

The flat can be quite dark, sometimes noisy from being above the front door of the main entrance also

The building design is modern and aesthetically pleasing, with excellent facilities including a beautiful roof garden. Being so close to City Airport means you can hear planes occasionally, but the convenience of easy access to the city more than makes up for it. Proximity to the Thames adds to the charm, and the concierge team is lovely, always ready to assist with a smile. Property management is efficient and responsive, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Overall, the combination of excellent local amenities, thoughtful design, and great management makes living here a delightful experience.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in Silvertown, Canning Town, has been a fantastic experience. The range and quality of local shops, especially near Royal Wharf, are excellent, offering a diverse selection of goods and services. The restaurants and bars near the Thames Barrier provide a variety of dining options with stunning riverside views. Open spaces are well-maintained, perfect for outdoor activities and leisurely walks. Transport links are convenient with regular buses and the DLR,l. Anti-social behaviour is rare. Overall, it's a great place to call home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we had issues with the door not closing and the lift was temporarily not working but these have both now been resolved

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’m glad that developing the area, but the constant noise of builders next door is a little bit unsightly, but I’m hopeful that this will increase the improvements within the area

Building was completed recently (2020 or 2021 I believe) - includes gym, working space, lobby, gardens and 24h reception. Bike storage + parking on site. Good design for the building, some furniture are higher spec some others less so. Common areas cleaning are prob 2x week, property management relatively responsive

Clapham Junction is a 10/15 min walk, very close to the river gets pretty nice especially in summer. Few grocery stores in the area and a few restaurants bars 10 mins away (couple of pubs nearby too)

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Some delays at times but overall management has been pretty responsive

Heliport in the area / Clapham Junction is a 10/15m walk and other buses are unreliable

Living at the Pontoon Dock apartment for two years has been an absolute delight. The waterfront location offers stunning views, creating a serene atmosphere. The apartment itself is modern, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable living space. In terms of local amenities, there's a good range of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, catering to various tastes. The open spaces, including parks and promenades, are perfect for leisurely strolls or outdoor activities. Transport links are excellent, with Pontoon Dock DLR station just a short walk away, providing easy access to the city center and beyond. Parking availability is decent, and bin collections are reliable. Overall, living here has been a wonderful experience, with the positives far outweighing any minor inconveniences.

Building management has been responsive and efficient, addressing issues promptly. Although we have had ongoing intercom issues

One insight I gained living here is the sense of community among residents. It's great to have friendly neighbors and participate in building events. Also, be sure to explore the surrounding area beyond just the immediate vicinity; there are hidden gems to discover nearby.

Overall good development but extremely expensive

Nicely designed but very expensive for this area. Based on the safety of this area it’s quite expensive. I would be able to spend this much amount, and be able to live in a much safer area. Especially after the increase after living only a year here.

Not a very safe area but there’s alot of shops. It’s a lively and happening area. Very near a station

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No problems raised. But heating went out a couple of times, it was not managements fault but they arranged for the engineer to fix it promptly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the rent would go up by 10% just after one year. I was already paying way over the going rate
