Development is well laid out and houses aren’t too close together, there are bits of green space which I know other developments lack. There are plans to build a play area and sports pitches which will greatly improve the development if followed through

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Not many local provisions are walkable and there are no shops libraries etc in the development. Luckily the location is generally good as we are near a town centre

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

General poor quality of new build standards - seems to be a general issue with new builds

What is the best feature of your home:

Three floors makes use of space, decent sized garden

We love the design of our house although the bedroom sizes are disproportionate (large 1st and tiny 3rd). Our plot has plenty of space and a good garden although we’ve noticed some streets where the detached houses are very close together. The three story houses can make some streets feel claustrophobic. Building and property maintenance has been good, although snags sometimes take several visits to be rectified.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Parking on the estate is often crowded as single width driveways mean lots of people park on the street. There are lots of supermarkets in an easy drive’s reach. A smaller walkable local shop would be beneficial. There’s lovely countryside nearby but due to a lack of footpaths they are hard to access without a car.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

As frustrating as it can be to pay over standard price for some add ons, do it. It’s a lot harder to add them in after. Also, research land gradient. Our garden is a lot more sloped than expected and not very safe for our children.

What is the best feature of your home:

Energy efficient and functional. You have peace of mind

I think the design is good. Could do the a small hall way blocking of the front door to the living room, gets really cold from the draft in the winter. Other than that really like the open plan layout and really spacious rooms. Lots of storage space too

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Really nice area to live, very close the wigston town which gives you great access to a number of shops. Traffic piles up a fair bit near the butchers but nothing to bad

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Having the parking on the side of the house parking the cars behind each other. If you have more than one car it’s a nightmare, wish I chose one of the houses with the parking on the front with 2 next to each other

What is the best feature of your home:

I love the front room and the big window letting in lots of light

It's been slow, all the promises for the site nothing is advertised or promoted to residents such as the allotment. Where is the kids park etc?. No thought was put into my build into impact on my gas or electricity meters almost 20 metres apart so don't submit to energy company and always requires manual intervention Tooooooo many small windows, just make big ones!!! As time has passed, the quality of things have prevailed and how many short cuts and bad workmanship has taken place.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

1. The main roads entering meadows are bad enough to damage your suspension 2. The security where people enter on foot near the adver poles you could of put a gate for better security and only one entrance 3. Residents parking is shocking, occupying entire footpaths and blocking corners so you can't turn to get out. The site should ask residents to be more considerate especially to those on foot or with prams. Residents driving at ridiculous speeds at site entrance near salea office, cutting off incoming traffic. Should put middle verges or separate lanes so people are forced to turn correctly. Also speed warnings around the site.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

My house would be next to do much foot traffic. The site main entrance roads wouldn't be finished properly

What is the best feature of your home:

Erm, room sizes are good. South facing garden Wide stairs

Houses are clean and tidy, gardens are okay. Road surfaces need to be completed. Quite area. No local shop. Good access to bus route to town. Wigston has lots of shops and restaurants some pubs and lots of hair dressers. Also local parks nice in wigston but the development needs to be completed or it to reach full potential

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Actual location for amenities isn’t great as it’s a new development on the outskirts of existing town. However 20 mins walk your in the heart of wigston, also good connection to bus routes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I’d of known work would be ongoing on my street after. Year of this section being complete

What is the best feature of your home:

Garden it’s nicely fenced and enclosed with small patio and turf
