Excellent experience and development

I would say tidy, picturess and quiet - grounds being maintained - I think will be a buetiful estate when it matures. I would say the best from Gleeson developments. A selection of sandstone and brick built properties - I prefer the sand colour brick as is mine

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Moved in October 2023. We bought a Renmore -beautiful house with amazing views, you can see for miles from our dining room table. The head scratcher has been the practicality’s of getting your car in the drive without running over the grass. The Gleeson teams from sales to site management in my opinion have been responsive and attentive. The estate is very quiet. The roads are a bit of a challenge - bit of a bumpy ride in places but the development is not yet finished.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would say the challenge in getting into the drive, a very very small minus given how good the house is

What is the best feature of your home:

The views, the kitchen, the land and that we are in a quiet caldisac

Slight niggles that could be improved

The development is lovely and clean, however there are slight niggles that could be improved. For example the entrance to the estate is quite damaged so your car feels like a fare-ground ride as you exit and enter the estate. Also the small private way of 3 houses which my plot is on is too narrow to be able to turn your car around off your drive, causing us to have to reverse all the way to the main road.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of the site is ideal as it is far enough away from the centre to be peaceful but still close enough to walk to the shops, there are good transport links to bigger towns/cities and is a 5 minute drive off the M1 motorway

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Snag everything at point, because as time goes on it is harder to get in touch with them

What is the best feature of your home:

I love the upgraded kitchen options Gleeson offer and think are well worth the price

Budget home.

The design is great, the building management is ok but not us to deal with it much. Not sure if this comes under this but the house has had many problems that we’ve noticed since moving in for example, a lot of the walls are out of plumb by a lot and there are several aspect of the build that have been rushed and not checked including the garden being left in unusable condition with no top soil just rocks and rubble with some bad soil. It wasn’t safe to walk on or let pets on.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local shops are good, plenty of choice. Also many locations for drinks and food. Living on my street is challenging due to the small roads that can often get blocked, causing us to be unable to leave the property (could’ve been resolved by widening the road by 1 metre). There is practically no parking options without parking on main road or blocking others in. Not a lot of traffic noise overall other than occasionally dirt bikes going into the fields without helmets or registration plates.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How much of a problem a shared drive and a private road can cause. Often being blocked in and not able to even leave the house. Due to the drives and road being too small when there was space to make them bigger.

What is the best feature of your home:

The size of the garden and the design of the house.

I have had a couple of snags with my property and for the most part of the property management services we are good. There is an online portal that you can use to report defects and the service level agreement is typically two weeks for completion of the repairs, depending on the size and scale.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is set a five minute drive from the local village centre, where there are plenty of amenities, such as bars, restaurants, shops and a decently sized supermarket. The bins are collected weekly every Friday without fail. Living on this particular estate can be challenging at times due to the lack of parking, you are quite lucky to have availability for two cars. A lot of people park on the roads, which can make access very difficult and sometimes parking on your own property, even more so.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the parking situation. My drive is sloped and the roads are quite narrow, I was originally told that I would have two parking spaces except I have one parking space and a garage where a car cannot be stored because of how steep the driveway is. I have attempted to park my car in this, and I’ve come close to seriously scratching my bumper! The sloped Drive can also cause havoc in the winter, as it becomes quite slippy.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is definitely the location. I was one of the first plots to be built and housed, and my plot is very secluded and private, overlooking a small field where quite often I can see various wildlife during the day and evenings. I’m also quite fond of the brickwork as my house exterior is made of reconstituted stone.

First time buyer of a new build house - Swings and roundabouts.

The design of the houses is standard for new builds, the convenience of a new build out ways old houses in my opinion however the design is at times head scratching. The garage door opens right blocking patio walk way. There is a cupboard under the stairs which is an eye soar and in the middle of the lounge. And some of the optional extras you can purchase aren’t worth it and at times skimped on for what you paid for.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

With the town centre in walking distance you can easily get to the supermarket, post office, restaurants and other shops. The roads are quite narrow so makes road parking on the development a challenge but you’ll be fine with a drive. No real traffic noise and friendly neighbours

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the drives with a few I’ve seen at almost a 50 degree incline.

What is the best feature of your home:

Two bathrooms, garage and a nice garden plot fenced off.
