The building plot is built on beautiful surroundings

The building plot is built on beautiful surroundings however as mentioned above the lack of transport lets it down. The properties are built to a high standard however on some occasions the developer let themselves down by not following up or repairing small issues in a satisfactory time or at all.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No transport links or ability to get into centre of city as promised. Still no bridge built… speed cameras required travelling via the town as on back road.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Lack of transport links and the time frame to complete the promised bridge linking Blairs to Cults.

What is the best feature of your home:

Lovely view built over looking the river, open plan living.

Beautiful riverside setting

The development is very well designed. The house types are different and individual and designed to a high standard. I don’t have much to do with the property management apart from maintaining the grass verge at the front. The development could definitely do with a bus service as you have to drive anywhere as no pavements outside the development.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This development would benefit greatly from a bus service as currently there is no bus service. Lots of lovely open space. Would like a shop.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there was an operating bus service

What is the best feature of your home:

Riverside view which is stunning. High quality finish and very spacious.

Lovely development! Lovely houses

Great design of the houses, high spec, high ceilings that you can not find it in any other developments in Aberdeen. Houses are specious with great space management. Good natural lighting from the big windows. Great quality material used in the kitchen and bathrooms. Distance between the houses in the development is generous.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The only bad thing is no public transport. Good things: lovely view of River Dee, quiet and safe area, great neighbourhood.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Traffic noise in the morning, the school catchment had been changed from cuts academy to another one in Stonehaven without knowing that

What is the best feature of your home:

Best feature of my home is the view over the river Dee with rear garden over looking the river

The house is spacious and well insulated and has a good appearance

The house is spacious and well insulated and has a good appearance. The quality of the kitchen is only average The bathrooms/ensuites could be larger, especially the master ensuite. The sales manager onsite was terrific and provided a great service. After-sales is patchy with one major issue still outstanding after almost 9 months with very poor communication on the subject. This appears to be a head-office issue in the main. In common with many other builders, the topsoil in the garden is of poor quality with a lot of work required to make it right. The garden itself is spacious and other is better space between houses than most.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is well sited with views of the river. There is a post box but no other public services. It is only 5/10 minutes by car from supermarkets and other services however

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The quality of the kitchen is relatively poor which until it is lived with is not apparent. There were no mirrors in any of the bathrooms which compared to other builders is unusual. Getting those fitted and wired in for power was something that would have been better done during the build. On the plus side the insulation levels are excellent and it is very economical to run. It si a comfortable family home.

What is the best feature of your home:

The large kitchen/dining/family room at the rear is the feature that sold the house. There is also a great amount of storage

Home Sweet Home!

We are very glad that we bought a house in 2019 at Riverside of Blairs. After comparing it with other developers we decided to go ahead with this one. A good floor plan and the high end fittings were very convincing. We had overall a good experience with Muir. Louise made all the arrangements in a short period possible. We love living close to the city centre but still countryside feeling. The only downside is that we don’t have a bus and still waiting for the pedestrian bridge which could connect the South Deeside Road with the North Deeside Road, so we wouldn’t be so dependent on going everywhere by car.

That no public transport is available and the pedestrian bridge will be very late.

Floorplan and fittings, Garden and surrounding. Love living in the middle of nature. Wonderful welcoming neighbours.
