In close proximity to Straiton retail park. Good bus link to city centre. Very quiet area. Visitor parking areas throughout the estate.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Miller homes have let us down, would advise looking with another builder if looking for a new build home.

What is the best feature of your home:

Nicely fitted kitchen, modern appliances and finish

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is good as not very far from city but feels like country side. Lots of open area with developments for kids to play and have bike path, space for walking dog etc. Traffic noise from bypass can be annoying if you are light sleeper. Property management company has been big disappointment but hopefully residents can get them replaced. Landscape areas could be better maintained by Miller Homes and Factors.

Layout and space are best features. Kitchen with island is amazing to have.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice area on the edge of Edinburgh with convenient transport links via the ring road and buses into town. Plenty of shops in local area. Only downside is shortage of schools near new developments

Only downside is that it wasn't possible to see this house design before moving in but in the end that wasn't a problem

Spacious and open layout downstairs with plenty of living space for a family

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I love the area, it’s really peaceful and quiet and amazing bus route into town as well as over to Lasswade where there are some lovely bars and eateries. I am hoping that the transport and amenities will only keep getting better with the amount of houses being built.

I wish I would of known more about the delays so I could of prepared more but this is to be expected with all new builds

What is the best feature of your home:

I love the layout of my home it suits our family perfectly and wouldn’t change it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops are great, we have straiton right near us which has everything one could need. There are some nice restaurants and beauticians and bars in lasswade and Bonnyrigg. It’s a quiet area. We like living here. We have two youngs kids and it’s a nice area to live in. However There is lack of local dentists and GPs. The roads to walk from one area to next are limited and parking on street isn’t great.

No pavements were ever planned. The neighbours are all Lovely and there’s a good neighbourhood feel.

What is the best feature of your home:

Our house is lovely, it’s a beautiful home that is affordable but it’s just a shame the grounds have let us down. This is a combination of millers and hacking and Paterson
