Great development for young family

Development is well designed. Although homes generally have small gardens the houses do not feel crammed in and the large mix of house types adds to the character. Layout of our home is very practical for family living as well as entertaining. Landscaping of communal area took a while after moving in to be completed but now that works have been done it looks good.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location in Nairn. Walking distance from beach and beachfront facilities as well as high street. Very quiet street.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Traffic in Nairn can be really bad. Not a showstopper but worth being aware of especially if regularly commuting to/from Inverness

What is the best feature of your home:

The spacious open plan living area is great for family life

Overall good experience. Would improve with more timely response to snagging issues

Design of houses and estate great but there seems to be wasted space in our driveway that could be better thought through. The area as it is now so large could do with a more local shop in the immediate area to support residents. Transport links excellent with buses. Maybe a train station would have also improved transport? There is also a discrepancy between size of outside spaces between same design houses which seems unfair though I understand sometimes the geography around the house dictates this.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice and quiet but a closer convenience shop would be good. Transport links excellent

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

None

What is the best feature of your home:

Location is fantastic as on end of quiet culdesac with no passing traffic and good views. Also house is very well insulated so can easily be kept warm through the winter even with very low temperatures and high winds

Lots of unresolved issues

We really like our home and location. The development itself has left us disappointed. We are surrounded by mud. Trees have been planted but are drowning in surface water. Grass seed was put down but had to be dig up because of a raw sewage spill. We have been in our home nearly a year and our lounge window looks out onto it. Inside the finish on the tiles were poor. There are also lumps and bumps on plaster in the kitchen. We've been told that as its cosmetic and less than 2mm they wont fix it. Still waiting on snagging issues reported in March 2022 to be rectified. Our gas meter hasn't been registered properly so havent had a bill since we moved in. Get nowhere with british gas or Springfield.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very quiet residential area to live in. Nice mix of houses. Long walk to a shop. No public transport at the weekends and no buses after 5pm.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the sewage system is pumped along the road and if there is ever an issue it will explode right in front of your lounge window

What is the best feature of your home:

The internal design of the house is excellent. Plenty of space.

Could have been so much better

The house design is good, the development looks nice. Could do with more greenery. Some quite serious snagging issues, that were not dealt with well. Very little explanation of heating system given, including misinformation, with faults this resulted in high bills & lack of control. Misinformation given regarding EV charging capacity (there was none). Very disappointing aftercare from top level management.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very pleasant & quiet street with adequate parking & reliable bin collection. No facilities within walking distance. Not enough green spaces or street-side tree planting. No signage on road which makes it hard to find.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Inadequate insulation in the ceiling above the garage, resulting in bedroom above being very cold. Would doubt it meets building regs.

What is the best feature of your home:

The design of the house is good. The layout works well and the external finish looks great.
