Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The town of Market Harborough is about 15 minutes walk away there is a great park within 10 minutes, goid restaurants, coffee shops and bars, there are countryside walks within a couple of minutes from the estate all in all a great area. Parking is a bit of an issue as the houses all have two parking spaces but this doesn’t allow for visitors so this can cause an issue with traffic on the road side, also cars do travel far to fast on side streets this could have been dealt with by traffic calming being put in. There has also been a lot of drainage issues due to being on a hillside
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Nice quiet area to live, lots of dogs, nice walks on your doorstep, great town for food. Shopping not so great need to travel for larger choice.
What is the best feature of your home:
The bedroom on the third floor, large spacious and large ensuite, fitted wardrobes in the main bedroom.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Market Harborough is a wonderful place to live and bring up a family. We are very happy here and feel the local area is growing to accommodate the rising population. The are has many facilities for families, including classes etc. However, there is a need for some more restaurants and bars. train to London is reliable and regular but quite expensive. Our street is quiet and well kept. Bins collected each week- no complaints at all in that regard.

Train prices have risen a a lot since we've moved to Market Harborough.
What is the best feature of your home:
It has been designed with a family in mind so the layout is perfect. It is spacious with ample storage and our garden is a generous in size.

Positives: - Quiet estate - Community feel Negatives: - Need more independent restaurants & bars - Need a community Christmas tree on the estate - Drainage on the site is appalling

Poor drainage in the garden. How little worktop space in the kitchen you have.
What is the best feature of your home:
The best thing about the home is the quiet neighbourhood.

Harvest road is too narrow. Davidsons need to communicate more about delays and changes. Parking is adequate, we are still waiting for the bus service. Market Harborough has a variety of shops, however will soon need more facilities for upper schools, doctors, dentist with the growth and planned growth of the area.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The whole area is clay, drainage a real issue. Had I known this would have asked for better levelling of the garden before completion.

South facing garden and the front aspect t character.

We are awaiting development of the local shopping area, as are we awaiting the opening of Harvest Road, for these I cannot comment right now. The facilities of the town centre are good, however with the new developments taking place there is a strain placed upon local doctors and dentists.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Clay, clay and more clay, especially the impermeable blue clay. The garden was on one continuous slope meaning that all the water wanted to pool in the bottom third of the garden. After several remedial attempts by Davidsons, I took it upon myself to landscape, install French drains which has solved the issue. Something that in an ideal world should have been thought about before selling.
What is the best feature of your home:
I love the south facing garden aspect, the character of the house from the street and sizable single garage. Unlike older houses there are more electric sockets than you would care to use, meaning that they are convenient for whatever purpose is required.
