Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Transport is fine beside the busy roads heading towards Turnpike Lane. A lot of anti social behaviour which may cause me and my family to leave. When moving we we’re told that parking was non existent on our street but seems there are a number of cars parked on the pavement parked up.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Haven’t responded to anything wish they were kee approachable and physically helped instead of sending letters back and forth.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How desperate they were to fill out the houses and all get paid

Decent development in BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location: Whilst not the most glamorous currently (I have hope it will improve), the development is very well-situated in terms of location: 10-15min to an underground station (Turnpike Lane or Wood Green), 10-15 min to a train station (Hornet and Alexandra Palace). It is a bit caught between two main roads, but far enough so as not to hear the traffic noise. Equally, despite being between a railway track and an industrial site, it is only 10min walk to Wood Green shopping centre and all the supermarkets and only 15min walk to Alexandra Palace Park! Finally, it’s only about 20-min to the lovely Crouch end village and it’s boutique cafes and gastro restaurants, so you really have the best of both worlds. Ethnically diverse, buzzing and affordable area in Wood Green, and more quaint, unique and high-end Crouch end. Amenities: it’s currently lacking at a bare minimum a corner shop, but it would also be great to have a local cafe just to make things easier when you need to pop out just to get 5min fresh air and a energy fix. I have hope again that this will come with time. I feel safe on the streets and extremely safe in the building which has 3 layers of security! However, this really backfired when having guests or having a parcel / food delivered: the have to ring 3 times and be let it, including to allow the lift to function and personally, so far I have never managed to let a guest come up to my floor- I have to go downstairs to pick them up because the lift call isn’t reliable. There has been a bit of anti-social behaviour though, people shouting and it echoes quite madly and no one seems to help abate that. Parking availability is poor for visitors in the area: there is no reasonable parking offer and the max one can stay is 2hours. However, there are very numerous and decent bicycle storage spaces both in the underground parking lot and outside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have not lived here long and have only raised a couple of aesthetic issues but so far they have responded fairly efficiently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

What L&Q vs St Williams management meant in concrete terms: ie not being able to get your mail is a real issue. Appliance brand and energy efficiency
