I misread what the brochure sold

The development is close to a major supermarket and cluster of shops within short walking distance which is very handy. Easy access to buses, London underground within a 15 mins bus ride, and overground C2C station are within walking distance. There are nearby fields, woods, and parks so great for exercising and exploring. I have no complaints about the location. The development itself, having been nearly complete does not look like what is shown in the brochure. The development is 'brick-heavy' with a lack of good green open spaces in between blocks of houses, especially in the back gardens. It feels very caved-in when in your back garden as all you see around you is brick and when most people are out in their gardens or kitchens it can be very noisy. The development would have benefitted from having longer gardens and less of townhouses that are face-to-face. There are a few trees planted and 2 open green spaces but this is not enough. It would have been nice to have more trees planted especially along the major streets.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is close to a major supermarkets, and transport links. Good access to fields, woods, and parks. There a little or no social facilities and poor range of restaurants and bars.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

After-sales issues were resolved in a timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have liked to have known how close the houses/gardens were without any trees to provide privacy.

Not the worst but could be better

Jada (Shared Owner)

The design facility is not great. Really bad aspects of my property is on the plot plan I chose to not have an en-suite which is why I chose this plot. When viewed my plot they built an en-suite. After viewing a few others on my street, the developers had done the same. What’s the point have floor plans if your not going to stick to it. This was really annoying as it now made the master room smaller. Building management has not been good. We have reported on liver 50 Snags when we moved in and no one has come to view them to let us know of repairs. There are major snags and still none has come

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local area is pretty good. After moving from central London there are a few things missing. However that being said it’s amazing having Lakeside shopping centre 10mins away, Tesco superstore is less than a 5 minute walk and a Petrol Station 2 mins away. bad aspects of living here there are no banks or multi cultural shops nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They haven’t responded to anything! Still waiting Supposed to the branch manager from Persimmons visit to look at some of complaints on 3 occasions he never showed up so still waiting for someone to come round

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we could have viewed our property before a lot earlier. The finish build is not great but not as bad as the press makes out

A welcoming place to live in

Back at knighthood place in rainham, the area is quiet the community is welcoming and nice. There are very limited places to shop for items and there are no banks in the area. There should be more shopping mall and banks in the area to create a more accessible space.

You get what you pay for

The price we paid for the house is bit more, but compare to other developments Persimmons is better. Quality of the materials they provides is bit cheaper. Overall I’m happy with it. We cook masala curries so separate dinning room is better.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Area is located with big supermarket and other shops.Rain station just 10 minutes walk from the development but c2 is running every 30 minutes. Parking availability is great and quiet place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded quiet quicker than I expected.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t know our master bedroom is much smaller than we expected. Garden is small too and every bathrooms must have window but they builded between the rooms.
