Hunters chase: A good place to live.

This is a lovely estate to live in. It is quiet with no social behaviour problems. I love the design and build of the house. Each house has adequate parking available for 2 cars plus many have a garage too. well maintained roads within the development. Good street lighting

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is a good area for road links to major towns. There is lots of green space to go for a walk nearby. Parish centres are providing a range of activities too. It does however lack local shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Its well maintained by local council services

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Barratt dealt with any issues I had with the house promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Good doctors surgery in walking distance. Very limited public transport.

I like the design of the property. The property management company could do better at maintaining the grounds but overall the development looks nice. The builders were respectful of residents When still building. Development was kept clean and tidy. The park is complete which is nice for my children.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Well thought out development. Good links to transport, right on the A11. Near to Cambridge. Quiet development. Parking has been thought about well and little problems

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Mostly really quickly. Email was sometimes a little slow but once communication was established things happened quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I genuinely love it here. I feel there is nothing bad at all!

Overall it’s a pleasant development

Overall it’s a pleasant development, more spacious than other new developments. There could be more threes and green spaces available, as our entire street only has 2 threes. The management company does not seem to be doing much upkeep or winter maintenance

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very little available in terms of local facilities like shops, pubs etc. I don’t use public transport myself, but from what I heard, the few bus routes that run have very frequent cancellations.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They were very prompt rectifying issues initially, as we were one of the first households. This changed towards the end and we still have some unresolved issues to this day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew about plans to build a battery storage facility nearby. I would not have purchased a property here.

A convenient commuting village

House designs in our development are quite decent. Houses are more spacious compared to developments in west Cambridge, St Ives or even Huntingdon. There is a playground for children. There are several guest car park spaces. Property management company is a slight disappointment, their yearly charge isn’t small, but one expect more for the charge paid.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good commuting route to Cambridge, quite convenient for those who work in Cambridge. There are lots of open and green spaces suitable for walks. Parking is generally not a problem and is free. Our street, although quite busy during pick hours, looks quite nice with the new built houses with decent designs. There are shops for almost everything, although quality could be better.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

In the initial few months, problems and issues were addressed quite quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There aren’t a lot to do in this small village. But, you can always drive to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds or Thetford for more activities.

Well designed development, nice area and quite. We are missing shops and facilities in the city which I hope they will build them over time. The property management Gateway is not good for what we pay and theyr customer service is terrible, change them please!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very poor facilities at the moment, only one indipendent grocery shop around, very expensive. Management company also expensive and not good service for what we pay

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes the site manager was always available and helped us with any issues we had

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Company management is awful and if I knew before that it was going to be gateway I wouldn’t buy the house here.
