The overall design and development of the house is good

The overall design and development of the house is good, we had a few minor snagging issues and some design aspects were poor such as the placing of the aerial and the placing of the smoke detector in the kitchen. Originally the dealing with after care snagging was poor and response time wasn’t great, the garden was not level so when it rained the garden flooded however Tom and his team came round and re done the whole garden for us front and back, and since the minor issues everything has been lovely.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are two very nice pubs close by, a small post office and a large park that has football goals, tennis court and a play area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish before we moved in we had more information on the final layout of the house such as the placing of things.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of the home is probably the garden and the overall finish of the house.

Village life

We have found the design of house very well thought out, The development seems to have been well thought out too. We have had a few snagging issues (which you expect) but these have been sorted quite quickly by the developers. All of the contractors on the site have been very polite to us.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are 2 very local Pubs, a lovely play park for the children, a post office with a local shop and a well kept playing field. We’ve moved from a busy noisy town to a lovely quiet village where everyone is friendly and looks out for each other.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

When it comes to village life we wish we did it years ago.

What is the best feature of your home:

We have found the best feature of our home to be the location.

Not great, could be better

External of the house is nice, internal planning is poor, the radiator in the front room is placed next to the aerial port for the tv so the tv has to be at that end of the room and the sofa at the other end and when the heating is on you don’t get warm because the radiator is at the other end of the room, placed a smoke alarm directly above the oven so whenever we cook the steam sets off the alarm which is brilliant, customer care aren’t great, we had a fence collapse outside the front of the house, told customer care and they eventually came round a few weeks later and propped it back up with a wooden stick, eventually fencers came around to fix the problem, spent all day outside and fixed nothing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Unfortunately the 1 local shop doesn’t sell much, the local pub is good and serves great food, the local park is nice and plenty of stuff to do, there’s 1 bus stop, the street is nice although it would be nice to have a road that’s all 1 level and not have ramps and drains sticking up which I have to dodge in my car, parking is ok, bin collection has been hit and miss, some weeks are fine but we’ve had other weeks where they just don’t take bins, traffic noise can be bad at times

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish that we were giving a more detailed floor plan and could have been informed more of where things were planned to go so we could have a say in it

What is the best feature of your home:

The garden is a good size and good quality and the finish of the house is to a good standard.
