Inside is nice and well planned out.

The weather is harsh and i fear that my home isnt really built to last the weather up here and that aspect wasnt thought through very well. Inside is nice and well planned out. Options where good when picking. Site lads and ladies have always been amazing! Always willing to help if ever we needed anything doing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Love living up here, its very out the way and very scenic. We moved from an old barn converted into town houses that had an amazing view out over holmfirth. So to come up here and still have the landscape aspect was brill. Living on the street is nice. Theres a lovely community feel from everyone par one weedy boy racer from the council lettings on the street whos always driving like an idiot up and down the street and fighting in the middle of it (hey suppose it gives an entertainment aspect but not what i paid nearly 300k for a tiny house for). (And i also Wouldn't mind but the kurbs are still 2m high (overexagereat slightly, however it felt 2m when my alloy caught them) and pot holes all over the place as jones homes haven't come back to finish the road (even though all homes are now occupied). It also would have been nicer if they'd have planned something like a pond or a residents park for the children.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, took sometime when gone througj the official channels but they eventually got done

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Dont buy a house near the council lettings. You might get a weedy boy racer move in

Very good area and development.

Wayne S (Owner)

Nov 2021

The development was finished to a good standard and got moved in quickly. All materials and equipment are very good which is standard in the house. The plan of the house is smart, I would just say there're too many doors located in the kitchen which can cause small issues.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very good due to nice areas to work and friendly people. I wouldn't say there're any bad aspects of the area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they have and they came around and sorted them ASAP.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There are no issues I can think off when moving in.

If you want an unresolved snag filled home the Jones Homes are for you

Ian (Owner)

Little or no quality control appears to have been practiced in the construction of the development. A vast array of “snags” have not been resolved in the eleven months since the house was built. For example, I still have a dangerous hole in my front garden. My experience of this lack of quality control and the lack of any motivation or energy to put these faults right is repeated by all my neighbours and their houses. Jones homes clearly gives little or no priority to resolving faults once they have sold you the property.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s a nice area in which to live and the existing villagers have been very friendly and welcoming. The local pub is a Jen with friendly staff.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have been issuing Jones homes with a list of snags ever fortnight for 11 months. Only recently have some of the snags been addressed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Hold back some of the cost of the house until all your post move snags are resolved.

I really like the design of the houses on Heather View

Annoymous (Shared Owner)

Nov 2021

I really like the design of the houses on Heather View, the golden coloured stone and roof shape designs on the porches make an appealing characterful property, and not all houses on the outside are exactly the same, so having some individuality is good. Given the price of houses these days however, one would have expected all homes to have house alarms as standard and not just a select few. Whilst crime in this area is considered to be low, there's a tell tale sign of which homes are protected by alarms and which aren't with the bright red flashing lights and the absence on other houses. In a time of environmental awareness, you would expect new homes nowadays to be more environmentally friendly, the lack of solar panels and green boiler alternatives would have been a welcome sign of change. Had a few issues with the overall finish of the property, ranging from faulty roof tiles, poor French door fittings (don't close at all in hot weather unless slammed very very hard, on occasions they don't shut at all) apparently in the home manual this is normal! Also poor finish to fittings and plastering fall short of expection in a new build.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Heather View is in an enviable setting, located in a lovely rural village with plenty of options to explore the surrounding areas within reach of the main cities such as Sheffield and Huddersfield. The location was the reason for purchase, and being able to take advantage of the government help to buy certainly made my move become a reality for which without, wouldn't have been possible. I cannot comment any negatives I have experienced, just certain issues with the finish of the property which will be mentioned in the next section. Neighbours, rural setting, convenience to larger towns/cities make Heather View a great place to call home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues reported have been dealt with in a reasonable amount of time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How environmentally friendly the houses are built to.

Heather view- The whole truth and nothing but!

Katie C (Owner)

Nov 2021

The house looks stunning and after months of snagging lists it is almost complete however Jones homes have not been a good company to deal with and we still have jobs outstanding after moving in months ago!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area and estate is beautiful. One of the finest places in Yorkshire! However I wouldn’t rate Jones homes as they have not been efficient at all.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No, some yes. But still trying to get things complete!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You should get snagging complete before moving in.
