Lots of Issues After Just One Year

Oona (Tenant)

May 2020

The development has unfortunately turned out to be disappointing after spending a year in the flat. The flat itself has begun to show many signs of shoddy workmanship from peeling covers to incorrectly installed underfloor heating pipes and unfinished balcony ceiling. There have been recurrent problems with having no hot water in the flats and incorrectly assembled heating at our flat. There have also been some security issues related to the square, with people gathering there at night to spend time loudly or fighting. The issue remains unsolved.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great, close to the Tube station and the bus station. There are lots of shops and restaurants and two shopping centres really close. The trip to central London is quick, maybe 30 mins or even shorter with the fast or semi-fast Tube trains. Harrow School is also close, offering really beautiful scenery and parks.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They reply but don't necessarily solve the problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That one should definitely NOT use WithEnergy as an energy company. Now we are stuck with it and can't get rid of them.

I live by myself so the apartment is really spacious for one person, it could even fit two. It wasn’t furnished when I moved in which I like and everyone in the building is private and to themselves due to the layout.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Convenient to get to So much new buildings so there’s so many rats on the outside and front of the building

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Doors don’t open occasionally throughout the building

Like the area and the neighborhood. High prices for relatively cheap materials. Very safe building and location very close to the station. Great maintenance and concierge services offered. Spaces are relatively small. Lack of storage

Likedhrupal the area and the shops around. Nice buildings feeling safe. A few things are still getting fixed but overall very good

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Small spaces. Pigeon everywhere. Lights in the flat too bright.
