Ideal location and pleasant place to live with great facilities however now becoming outdated with some security issues

The design is pleasant and I can see how when it was built the appearance was very nice. It is now however becoming outdated and dilapidated. Furthermore the garden is not well kept and looks increasingly in disrepair. There is a general sense that the materials to build were cheap and that the interior of the flat is falling apart. The gym and common room are very nice and an exceptional perk. The underground car park is also very appreciated and another asset however the price for parking is very high. Scott the property manager is extremely helpful and another asset to the living experience. Any problem we have he solves immediately. One slight area of concern recently is security. The communal doors are not always closed and locked and we have had a valuable package stolen from the corridor in the past. Furthermore a drug dealer lives on our floor and the police have been inside our flat to question us in the past.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect location near Bath center and the park all on foot distance. Main issue: gate to the garden broken and always open.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The resident manager promptly answers to any problems or issues experienced

Great place to live

The building is new and very energy efficient. Residents Lounge with many tables, a TV, a coffee machine and a gym is a big bonus. Building management is very friendly and helpful. There are regular residents' events like brunches or quiz nights. It's not easy to move in with big boxes or pieces of furniture because parking a car near the entrance is impossible. They must be carried around the fence at the front of the building. And only small cars can park inside the underground car park, close to the other entrance and the lift. There is a nice view from the flats on one side of the building but the flats on the other side face the courtyard and windows of the buildings surrounding it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Development is very conveniently located within a short walking distance of the city centre, two supermarkets, all kinds of shops, cafes, and a cinema. I would call it a sweet spot. There is also a big park nearby and a green area in the development. 5 mins walk away, there is a bus stop towards Bristol. Unfortunately, there are not many parking spaces, especially the free ones, but it's not a problem for me as I don't have a car. The whole area is generally quiet, even though it lies between two major roads, the traffic noise doesn't travel that far. Occasionally, there are noisy people at night and people who smoke cigarettes even if it's forbidden. The building management is always helpful on these occasions if they can. There are communal bin rooms and not all tenants obey the recycling rules. On the collection day, there's usually a delay before the bins are back in the room and ready to be used again. The communal areas are cleaned regularly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They immediately took action, and most of the issues were solved within a day or two.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

All parcels are left downstairs by the post boxes, delivery people don't bother to go upstairs (even, or especially with heavy parcels). The flat is so warm, I could instantly switch to a different heating tariff and save money.

Very nice building with good facilities like gym and common room. The gym has got a good and varied equipment. The property manager is always ready to help/assist at any time. Near to the centre and well connected to all the open spaces like parks and bicycle paths.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very well connected to the centre, parks and to bars. Parking availability limited for both cars and bike.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes and he is always pretty quick and helpful. Always available at any time too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would be nice if the unused bikes are removed from the bike rack

Great city living for people who like a bit quieter environment

Great quality, amazing insulation. Love the bathroom and floors. Belinda is always available to help. I wish kitchen space was bigger but it's amazing having the gym downstairs and the location can't get any better. It's in the city but still quiet and more space outside, rather than a packed street full of terraced houses. Like the park around us and being right by the river. Love the coffeeshop on the corner.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Amazing location, wonderful and quiet. Love living here. It's expensive but for the location and newly built apartments I don't mind paying for it - however it's the lack of space and dark kitchen that's the issue. Few sirens but otherwise quiet. I wish our apartment wouldn't face the courtyard - everything echoes.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We only had a handful of issues when we moved in - it was all sorted promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

They'd raise rent after a year.

The flats are reasonably spacious with good sized front rooms with kitchens.

Sarah (Tenant)

Oct 2021

We currently live in a one bedroom flat with a balcony. The flats are reasonably spacious with good sized front rooms with kitchens. The bedrooms are spacious with large double wardrobes. Storage within the flat is good, with a utility cupboard with a washer/ dryer. There is a good sized gym downstairs that is free for residents to use and a nicely designed residents lounge that supplies free hot drinks. Outside is a large communal garden and across the road is a community working space/ coffee shop.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The flats are ideally located near the centre of Bath, a 5 minute walk to town and a 20 minute walk to the hospital. There are bus and train links within walking distance that can take you to the surrounding areas, Bristol and Bristol airport. The area is quiet, situated away from the main road. We have no problems with anti social behaviour, everyone is very friendly and respectful. We love living here and couldn't recommend a nicer community to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues raised have been dealt with swiftly. When we moved in we had a small maintenance issue which was fixed within the hour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before we moved in we would have liked a tour of the flats, but unfortunately due to covid this was not possible. A video tour would have been beneficial so that we knew the layout and the size.
