Elmwood Gate is a collection of one and two bedroom apartments in Maidenhead. Just a 16 minute walk to Maidenhead train station with direct services to London Paddington in 19 minute and a few minutes' walk from the River Thames.

DO not buy from this developer. poor quality (such as thin thin walls and cheap installments) from the get go with numerous issues within the apartment and apartment building. in fairness, they do fix the problems within the first 2 years but after the issues continue and you're on your own. As an example, we still have a broken front door to our apartment block only 3 years after being installed but no one is helping. they also use poor management companies to look after your building which charge alot a year and don't provide much, windows arent the cleanest. the biggest concern is that i was mis-sold their services and products, when i bought my flat they informed me that on the premise that there would be visitor spaces that were unallocated and for communal space (no one could buy) and now they have changed this and you are not allowed visitors unless you pay for an allocated visitor spaces. They are now claiming this never was never the sold to us even though multiple people were told the same and multiple eye witnesses, the complaint has been raised and will update this review based on the outcome but based on my overall experience from shanly, i would not recommend using them.

local area is nice, close to a station and to river Thames. maidenhead has a few shops, few pubs and restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Currently pending on certain issues, they have responded to other issues within the first 2 years and they reolved these issues as within2 year warrantly but after that they havent really helped further.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

to get things in writing, to try and get it cheaper as the quality isnt premium

Good development and lovely area

Good space and general design. Nice facilities and so far no issues with property management. Some finishings in the apartment could be better, specially painting related. Most issues encountered were easily fixed by management.

Very calm and quiet area. Very close to town centre and all shops, far enough not to hear all the noise. Good access to motorway nearby. Very clean area.

So far, quick reply to any concerns and all issues sorted

I don't feel that was anything I should have known before yet.

The development is gated so there’s always a sense of real security. Bin stores are a great size and always tidy. Hallways and corridors of the development have a high-end feel with classy artwork and prints covering the walls. The grounds are always maintained to perfection, with seasonal flowers greeting you every-time you arrive home.

Walking distance to a plethora of local amenities - Maidenhead train station, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Braywick Leisure Centre, Lidl, Maidenhead town centre! You couldn’t ask for more, truly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues in the communal areas are always tended to rapidly! Constantly clean and smelling great too.

Details/info around window cleaning is a little sparse!

Great place for a first home

Development is great design very good lots of natural light comes in. Garden areas are tended to frequently giving the overall development a great look on the outside Colour schemes inside are nice a neutral and facilities are kept clean and tidy. Overall management of the property good

Great location, close to riverside and local town centre Close to new leisure centre with excellent facilities and large open spaces Local school very close with great reputation Close to the Trainline and M4 which is great for commuters

They have responded very well, quickly and efficiently

Make sure you view a few of the available plots so you can get a feel for the different design layouts

Good looking homes, good location

The development is good looking and has robust modern features- under floor heating, double glazed windows. It came with all white goods like the oven, hob, fridge and washing machine attached. Building management is just a phone call away. They are always there to sort any snagging issues.

I live in Amber Place Apartments and the location is beautiful. Thames is a mere five minute walk and there is greenery and quiet all around. It is well connected to London and Paddington is a mere 20 min train ride away. Its a 15 minute walk from the high street and you have many grocery stores nearby for everyday needs.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management send a person within 2 working days to sort a small issue in the bathroom. Anything we ask is sorted efficiently and in time.

Maidenhead is so much friendlier than London!
