We like the lay out of the development we enjoy the quietness of the area as there is no reason to come up the road unless you are coming to the development. We have had to contact Harron on a few occasions to which they have sorted the majority of the problems themselves or been in touch with the company’s who need to attend for us. We are only awaiting on one company to come and see us and we are aware of Harron’s efforts to get in touch with them for us so we cannot moan at Harron for that . Overall a pleasant experience .

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is literally across from the entrance to Brierly park and is great for walks and cycling. There is adequate shopping within a 10 minute walk the roads around the area where we live are in a bit of disrepair. We love the street everyone in our cul de sac are great nice and quiet . Minimal traffic due to cul de sac.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes as stated above we have contacted them a few times and with the exception of one contractor not getting in touch with Harron all has been resolved quite quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish the street had not been left until now without the top layer of tarmac being laid as it is hard to get up the curb with a low classic car .

One thing we loved about the Harron development was the design of the buildings

One thing we loved about the Harron development was the design of the buildings. They’re similar but different and the little extra touches to make the houses pretty are really nice. One negative in design would be the front garden sharing - feels like it is a neighbourly dispute waiting to happen but it looks nice to be so open plan. We’re a couple of years off the site being finished so expect to see more grounds management and facilities when we are complete.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is no secret that the local area is in need of a little TLC. That said, it made the house prices very reasonable and we are fortunate enough to live on the edge of a forest park so makes up somewhat for the town. Traffic noise is really low, services that I need are readily available and we have no issues with AS behaviour despite living on the edge of a park. Generally we are happy with the area and the development site.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Despite being in pandemic times they were efficient with responses to issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I don’t really have any. Do your research, ask questions and thoroughly check the property at all stages to raise issues

Great design, poor management.

We love the property we live in, in terms of design. Particularly the large landing. However we have been let down by property management in regards to having issues dealt with, often ignored or we are not kept updated on any new developments. Often Covid has been blamed, however with lockdowns and restrictions eased there didn’t seem to be any change.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are a good close range of amenities which drew us to the development. Unfortunately the road leading to the development isn’t particularly wide and can be double parked which when the road gets busier as more people moving in it may become a problem. Someone stole our bowl that was outside for Halloween.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

To start with the problems seemed to be getting dealt with well. However as time went on communication ceased from the building manager and we were left in the dark as to when our issues would be fixed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Ensure that your issues are dealt with swiftly, escalate if they’re not.
