In terms of the design, it’s clean, modern and well kept which makes it a rare find. Property management are all friendly and building management are always available when you need them. Facilities wise, got everything you need on your door step. Great overall!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Really enjoy living in this area, the development itself is lovely. It’s designed nicely, well maintained and good value for money.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Crisp Cowley are friendly, professional and always available

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Expensive area I would say. But the location and building really make it worthwhile

The building is well managed and is frequently regulated and well cleaned. I have not had a problem with any building or property management. The area is kept clean and well looked after. One thing that could be better is more access to visitor parking.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of Bath Riverside is at a great one, with close proximities to the local parks and amenities.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have contacted the landlord for some minor issues with the flat and he has responded quickly and effectively to send someone in to fix.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Visitor parking might get a bit tricky as there is limited spaces.

well designed and maintained really well. we have been here a year and the hallway has already been painted, lift always working, and the communal areas are kept clean and tidy. property management are friendly and available via phone or email. wheelchair friendly building too which is a great plus!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

local pubs and coffee shops are great, friendly and well priced. Parking without a permit can be difficult. A lot of noise from the neighbouring blocks and high police presence. This is the only downside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

crisp cowley are professional and friendly, however sometimes slow to respond and need prompted once or twice to see to issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

noisy neighbours in block next door, however overall a well kept area with great local amenities

Very well maintained communal areas.

Very well maintained communal areas. Property management have always been very friendly and responsive. A very unique development in a beautiful location. All visitors to my apartment comment on what a lovely development it is and struggle to believe this was wasteland for so long. The building design is in keeping with the local area, e.g. use of sandstone. Though I can see there is some external staining occurring. The front entrance door does tend to slam a lot which impacts me as I am on the ground floor next to entrance.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A fantastic location. Close enough to Cory centre but also very close to beautiful parks and landmarks. Coffee shops nearby. Very well maintained and thoughtful shared gardens and green areas, with little touches and nods to the heritage of the area. The area has a unique and aesthetically pleasing feel. Parking is too limited however. I get lots of unsolicited parking outside of my apartment and lots of work vans which creates noise throughout the day. I work from home so this can be an issue.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have reported the front door slamming and they are always very responsive. They also helped with a query about obtaining a visitor parking permit.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The energy provider is non negotiable and charges significant standing charges. I have had consistent issues with heating. That cars will park outside my apartment, particularly work vans. That there is a drug problem in the area.

My Critique on Living in Riverside Highgate

Dina Abusaleh (Tenant)

Oct 2021

For the design of the building itself; I feel like it’s very organized and modern looking on the outside but the inside interior (the corridor, elevator, mail room) could use a bit more enhancement. By that I mean re-painting some of the walls, adding boxes or more storage for parcels as they always get thrown on the floor and mixed up with other tenants. For the design of the apartments themselves, I feel like it’s very spacious and organized however, some things require more. For example my living room is of perfect size but because it’s big, the kitchen is quite small and I would have liked it to be more spacious considering I love cooking. Moreover, it would be nicer and better if the floors for the rooms also had wooden floors like the rest of the apartment as the cotton like material placed on the floor of the bedroom stains easily, and is alot harder to clean. It also doesn’t match the design properly. Lastly, I am aware that different building have different windows but for Highgate (The building I am currently living in), has a bedroom window that is hard to open and kind off impossible to clean considering the way it opens. If it was made like the living room window it would be alot more convenient. The facilities are all quite good and nothing to comment on, but there isn’t much facilities to begin with. The building and property management is also good but perhaps when during emergencies there should be better management and faster replies.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is one of the reasons as to why I even chosen to live here. Everything is nearby whether it’s places or transportation and therefore makes it very convenient. For example; there is a coffee shop only 2 minutes away, two Sainsburys nearby, and the bus stop is only 5 minutes away as long as other restaurants like Bath Sushi. As I do not own a car parking was never really an issue but there isn’t traffic as it is a private space and there isn’t noise making it quite peaceful and comforting to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded quickly in terms of my emails (especially ones regarding maintenance). However, they could do a better job at updating you with information regarding your security deposit and etc…

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only thing I would have liked would be to have an in-person viewing but due to the circumstances of COVID-19 I was unable to. Therefore, it wasn’t really an issue that the management caused.
