I don't personally Rate clarion, in fact they are pretty useless, I'll never use Clarion again. We have had no end of issues with them and their customer service is rubbish. . Persimmon too haven't been great. We have a slow leak caused by a pin in the stud walls going through a pipe. As this was a slow leak it wasn't picked up. We had a plumber in who confirmed this happened when the wall went up. We tried to complain however was basically told not their problem as out of the defect period

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good amount of shops and pubs and greenery lots of parks, good transport links. Large industrial park being built. Downside is lack of restaurants, and lack of things to do in the village. Need to build the town a little more, maybe more shops.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes but told us was our own problem to deal with. Had so many issues with the property

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There was a leak, did research on Clarion as they have been awful

Large development with lots of different house designs that generally all fit together, lots of road space and parking available for residents. Split across the Charles Church and Belway sides, with a new road connecting to the A272 to avoid traffic in the village. A new business park has introduced a supermarket and other trades to add to a wealth of great pubs and shops - not the best for coffee but some excellent breakfasts available and good travel links to London.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great community with lots of friendly pubs, Billingshurst is growing more and more with new developments and retail coming to the area, with good connections to London. Not too many takeaway options but friendly area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responses go through the Housing Association and Developer which can be a pain

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Dont pay the council for bins, the development should make sure they are free for you

Design is terrible, building management is ok, property management too. For first time buyers its ok however i would definitely not buy a house here again. Walls are cracking, floor is crumbling under carpet, both toilets have stopped working a few months ago.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good - location, neighbours, parks Bad - house very badly built, poor quality materials used, not impressed

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Took them many months to come back to me and wasnt impressed

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i knew how badly they were built and how bad quality the products they used were

The road is 30 and has kids playing out daily, and this goes out on to the new bypass 60mph, which children have to walk along to get to school. The road sign even blocks pushchairs and wheelchairs and makes kids walk on the 60mph road. There are no dog bins. The house wasn’t even cleaned before I moved in. I’m allergic to dust and it was disgusting and the builders had been using the toilet. There is paint on the carpets, my key has broken nearly twice in the awful front door that floods, the garden has three different grasses down and channels next doors rain into mine, but I have no drainage, so it just floods. The design is so un-user friendly. With cream carpets in my lounge which opens to my garden, and cheap cream carpet in the hall from the front door. With all the will in the world the carpets were destroyed in weeks! Ridiculous. The kitchen floor is not straight and the plinth had to be cut as developers wouldn’t do it correctly. The whole place is a joke. The shared ownership has no ensuite bathroom like the other 3 beds in the estate, and no parking, yet we’re more expensive. My neighbour gets to park in front of my house as they put a stupid overgrown horrible looking scrub area at one end and the parking slots, meaning they are often looking straight at me in my kitchen every time they get out their car!! Wouldn’t touch these developers or housing association again, it’s a con.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is one of 5 new developments in Billingshurst all at a similar time. There is no space in the school and the doctors surgery is tiny, only a couple of rooms added in recent extension, vs 100’s of houses.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Send someone after 6 months and ignore their recommendations, they come back and do a bodge job fix instead, or leave it. Nothing fixed from move in survey

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Front doors all flooding and gardens

House in general I’m happy with , the on suite in the master bedroom is my biggest nightmare as the shower isn’t a very well made, and the storage in the houses is very little which is a bit frustrating especially with children.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Their isn’t much here at the minute but that will soon change as more building is going on, street is good to live on parking is ok wish we had our own drives as drive shares can be sometimes difficult, I thought the location of the plot was the best one until now I have had housed go up behind me which I was told their was no plan to do when I brought the plot so that was very disappointing. Wish bin collections could be more often as rubbish can be a massive issue.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes she building management we’re good with any issues we had with Charles church they got sorted fairly quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Plan to build behind and storage. Shared drives
