London Borough of Camden reviews “The XY Apartments development in north-west London couldn’t be closer to Kings Cross St Pancras. That is, unless it was actually built within the station itself. It’s therefore great for those after quick public transport links both further into the capital and for trips further afield. The Victoria, Northern, Circle, Metropolitan, Piccadilly and the Hammersmith and City lines all stop here, so commuters are almost spoilt for choice.” HomeViews Property Pro, XY Apartments Do you live in an London Borough of Camden development? Really like the design of the development especially the wrapping of the existing tower block. Removed quite a lot of the mature trees which is disappointing. They have since planted more but these trees are in their infancy and will take decades to really fill the space.

The Agar Grove development is a great renovation project; I love the design of the new buildings, how it is well connected transport wise and how they created a communal garden with a playground. It became a place for our community where a lot of kids with their parent spend lot of time.

The area is going through extensive works with new buildings coming up, new structures, parks with initiatives taking place. The area is also really close to King's Cross and main transportation spots, giving the chance to the residents to reach every part of the country or outside the country with less than a 20 minutes walk.

The building is currently managed by the Camden Council which is not great and the transition could have been smoother. There's still no air conditioning/heating at the reception which is not the best environment for our concierges, which are incredible, to be in.

Where do I even start- we moved to XY Air in July 2021. The apartment looked in really good condition, freshly painted, good amenities and spacious 2 bedroom flat. We were so excited to be here. However, our excitement was so short lived. In August, we stared noticing dampness on the walls in the living room and signs of leak were visible. We contacted our agent, who asked us to contact Camden Repairs directly and thus began the most tiresome months of our lives. After contacting Camden repairs multiple times to flag them about a leakage, we were finally given an appointment to visit the flat in November. By the time it was November, the flat was literally in a derelict condition. The leak had caused all the walls to cave in and flooring started buckling and came off due to the water seeping into it. Finally, in November the plumber fixed the leak however the apartment was in bad condition. We have been trying to contact Camden repairs every single since then to try and have someone replaster the walls and put new flooring but without any luck. While those issues are the biggest, the apartment itself has multiple small issues that are frustrating to deal with. -The windows don’t seal properly allowing loads of flies to come in the apartment. -In summer, the apartment gets tooo hot. -In winter the heating hasn’t been working in one of the rooms and Camden repairs can’t bother fixing it so sent us replacement portable heaters which just aren’t as effective. -The lifts breakdown very often in the building. Overall, the excitement of living in Central London, in such a great location has paled in comparison to the everyday problems we have had to deal with. The only positive here is that the reception staff is super helpful, really friendly and really good with handling all the parcels that come in!
