Development is great with good design and built, including kids playing area and plenty parking spaces. Management is good too but people keep changing there and often questions renew unanswered - plus they don’t clean as frequently as they claim and could do better.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops are handy yet not in the middle of noisy shopping area. Plenty of parking spaces even for visitors.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Hit and miss Their key people keep leaving and new person behaves well in the beginning but often I find that car park area or communal greenery areas aren’t cleaned regularly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

People park here when going to watch football game - which makes our area crowded.

Nice Development in Vibrant town

Nice development where houses have their own design and appearance. All houses have off street parking so very few cars on the street. Some facilities have taken a long time to be finished after the houses were finished. Overall good estate with plenty of open space.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Vibrant town with plenty of pubs, good transport links to major roads and direct train line to London. Many countryside walks directly out of the town.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Not interacted with the estate management company.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The traffic during the school run can cause backlog through the village

Bad customer service by Bewley developer

Francis (Owner)

Acacia Gardens, GU10

Mar 2023

Please be aware that Bewley’s after-sales customer service is diabolical and don’t expect to get anything resolved. Many houses in the development have experienced water leakage in the loft due to a faulty design of the flute pipe which drips water onto the wool insulation or floorboards (if boarded). Bewley’s response to complaints made by residents is that the 2yr developer warranty period is over and they will not bear any further responsibility for repairs and requests residents to seek out NHBC warranty. This is indeed a faulty design of the developer which they are not interested in and will not fix or even send someone out to take a look at. Further, facilities such as the playground area are bad for kids to play on. Also, the property management company (Sennen) that looks after the development charges an annual fee for things that doesn’t get done or maintained properly according to their terms and conditions. All they are interested in is taking your money.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good: - Quiet in the evenings - Farnham town centre has a lack of low/mid priced eateries/restaurants - Not enough shops in Farnham catered for the youth Bad: - Busy main road outside the development with heavy traffic during peak hours - Constant temporary traffic lights on main road right outside the development causing chaos for residents - Huge potholes the size of craters on the roads around the development and Farnham which takes months to repair by Waverley Council

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, they will not fix the issue raised and just pass the ball to someone else to sort out.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Ensure all internal and external structural elements are in good order within the first couple of years

Steer well clear of Bewley

Elizabeth Park, KT12

Nov 2022

We moved in to Elizabeth Park in Hersham 2.5 years ago. Ever since they took our money the post-purchase customer service has been atrocious. We have neighbours who have had snagging lists that still haven’t been completed, roof leaks and to top it off they left the development months ago and haven’t finished it. The roads have not had they top layer added. There are broken curb stones where their site vehicles trashed them and no contact from them at all despite asking for updates numerous times. The estate is a mess. DO NOT BUY A BEWLEY HOME. You will regret it. All they want is your money and then you won’t hear from them.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local to train station and a Waitrose. School at end of road but limited noise or impact. Walk to local town centre in 20 mins.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No. They ignore messages from myself and neighbours.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How bad their customer service is. It’s non existent.

Terrible- do not trust them

Victoria S (Owner)

Watership Place, RG28

May 2022

Truly Awful- cannot be trusted Purchased a home off plan, the home in question on all marketing and legal documents showed the location of the play park near to but with the house not overlooking the park. After months of reviewing all otptions I then selected the best plot for me- a beautiful 3 bed home with 2 bedrooms over looking open green space. Then 6 months after completing and being issued the keys, Bewley have now moved the location of the childrens play park! Despite numerous emails nothing is being done to rectify the situation- bearing in mind the the site is not yet finished and workers are on site daily they are refusing to move the park!, I was asked to trust the plan that bewley provided- I even had to sign the plan on purchasing and now with all that they can apparently move the playpark to a completely different location! There is also no planning permission for this new park location. A fact which has been reported to the council as breach of planning. I was NOT SOLD a house overlooking a child’s play park NOR I AGREE TO PURCHASE a house overlooking a play park. Then after taking my money apparently bewley can change the whole development layout even after asking me to sign the plan used to advertise my plot! How is this fair??? I never would have purchased my home if it were advertised as overlooking a play park and now cannot enjoy the use of my garden or even have the doors to my living room open in the summer months! Absolutely abysmal- I now hate my new home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have replied and to date are refusing to move the park- which is the only acceptable response.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That apparently they can change anything they want to after the deal is completed. Their word means nothing.
